One of these but I've had it so long it's turned yellow.

Just grated a big chunk of Gouda in nothing flat.

Mine went yellow years ago and I never leave it out. I love mine, too. Wedding gift in '79 and still works perfectly. tongue

I love my food processor as well. Use it almost every day, it's a beast!

Got mine years ago when a client went out of business and gave me some equipment since he owed me money he couldn't pay. Got a robot-coupe....it's the awesome and stuff. I can grind bones into bone meal with it! This ability, which admittedly doesn't have many practical benefits in day to day life, is pretty damn cool. tongue

Is it good or bad that your appliances are older than I am?

I think it's good. Like a bottle of fine wine.

They don't make things like this anymore. Nothing is made to last.

Got mine around 1997 or so.

It's pretty beat up looking, it was when I got it actually. Stained and chipped with a big chunk of plastic broken off in the front (covered it with duct tape years ago, replace the tape periodically when it gets too nasty).

I don't put it away between uses however. People have remarked on how ugly it is many times, but the people who cook and see it don't. They know it has earned it's place on my counter. tongue

I also have a little mini-Cuisinart I use all the time when I'm just cooking for me. Bought it many years ago (in the 80's I think) and it's yellowed and stained and ugly as hell...but still works just fine. It's easy to hide behind the crock pot however.

I was disappointed when I got my mini chopper that it didn't have a grater attachment.

but at least it matches my stand mixer.
