IF is a great thing. Everyone's bodies are different so you'll have to figure out what works best for you in terms of how often, how long, etc. But people have been fasting for one reason or another through millenia and studies have always shown that fasting in moderation (40 days a stretch probably is not a good thing lol) is nothing but beneficial unless you have some kind of condition that would preclude it (diabetes, for instance).

My only worry is it could potentially mess up your thyroid. I am enjoying your blog, as I have been dieting and losing weight also.

I'm glad to hear it Xanzo. IF is meant for healthy adults, I would urge you to see a doctor before you try it if you have a condition.

That sickness while losing weight sux ass. The only time I even had bronchitis I was right in the middle of some serious weight loss and working out. It sure did derail that for a while.

It can happen, you don't want to make yourself worse by working out through something that severe though.

hope it works for you. glad you decided not to weight train on days your doing it as that sounds like a bad idea. in fact i'd be wary of any source that told you lifting weights while fasting is a good idea.

personally i'd never do something like this while i was lifting, even on off days. our goals are completely different though (i'm trying to add weight, your trying to drop it) so i can't really say its a bad thing to be doing with your goals in mind. i could see doing something like this if i were trying to get cut but not as a lifestyle while i was building.

do you keep record of your body measurements? if you keep lifting while your doing this i'd be curious to hear how that goes.

Yeah I'd totally not fast on work out days either. The crash afterward and waking up the next day even is just... rough. Then again the sample size for that has just been one day

i've discovered that stevia seems to help suppress appetite, at least for me. not sure if your fast allows for artificial sweeteners if they're 0 cal or not but if it does you could try it.

stevia is the safest/best no cal sweetener. the only reason its not more available is the fda is a bunch of tards. the japanese have been using it as their main artificial sweetener since the 1970s.

Stevia was suppressed by the corrupt FDA for a while. Definitely google the conspiracy theories, they're really interesting.

So it's a plant?

This is what happens when bureaucrats who have no knowledge to make a decision are in charge to make the decision. At least it looks like it is being viewed much more favorably

yeah its a plant. its also proven through studies to have none of the health concerns of the other artificial sweeteners we use as well as being proven to actually reduce weight in people using it unlike other artificial sweeteners which often made glucose/insulin reactions in the body that were just as bad as if you'd had sugar. stevia actually improves insulin sensitivity problems which is why its been tested so much for diabetics.

Yup. I also see it could help fight cancer, helps the immune system and numerous other things. I hope the people who signed off on it being bad for you lost their jobs, granted I bet they were a bunch of old fuddy duddys who are in the grave now. I am going to look for this in Ralphs today but I doubt I'll find it

walmart carries it. you can easily find it as an additive.

the problem is in finding it already for use in products. like soda etc. that is rare right now. as a little packet of sweetener though, easily found.

A lot of them have other sweeteners added and in larger quantities. Read the ingredients before buying.

No, it's safe and fully approved. It just took a long time for the FDA to pull their heads out of their butts and/or other artifical sweeteners to rake in enough profits before enough people realized Stevia was an incredible and safe herb.
