Boards Archive] |
Welcome to the Vault Network
forum archive.
This is not a complete archive, time didn't allot us the
opportunity to properly backup the majority of the boards
deemed "expendable". Most boards on this list have at least
20-40 pages archived (non-logged in pages, 15 topics per
page).
Popular boards may have as many as 250 pages archived at 50
topics per page, while others deemed of historical
signifigance may be archived in their entirety.
We may not agree with how the board shutdown was managed, but
we've done what we could to preserve some of its history in
lieu of that.
Please enjoy the archive.

The clippers I have been using for the last... 7 or so years are starting to die. (Power cord has to be exactly in one position or it shuts off.) What kind are the most reliable/low maintenance? (My previous pair were self lubricating... Kensington I believe was the manufacturer.)

I use a kit from Sam's manufactured by Wahl. Solid clippers with all the attachments plus a small trimmer (battery or rechargeable, not sure which). I've never even used the trimmer but the big one is heavy duty and works great. I use it every week or two to keep my hair short and haven't had a problem. Only had it like a year but from the feel/performance so far I doubt it'll fall apart on me any time soon.

So just get a POS and replace it every year? :| I got one set forever ago and it was like $60 or something... lasted for 7 or so years... why spend $20-$30/year?
