The clippers I have been using for the last... 7 or so years are starting to die. (Power cord has to be exactly in one position or it shuts off.) What kind are the most reliable/low maintenance?

(My previous pair were self lubricating... Kensington I believe was the manufacturer.)

I use a kit from Sam's manufactured by Wahl. Solid clippers with all the attachments plus a small trimmer (battery or rechargeable, not sure which). I've never even used the trimmer but the big one is heavy duty and works great. I use it every week or two to keep my hair short and haven't had a problem. Only had it like a year but from the feel/performance so far I doubt it'll fall apart on me any time soon.

So just get a POS and replace it every year?  :|  I got one set forever ago and it was like $60 or something... lasted for 7 or so years... why spend $20-$30/year?
