Having trouble with Decal 2.9.6.5

Okay so I just updated from the 2960 to 2965, chose C:\Games as the directory, and updated decal before loading up AC. Upon entering the world, my decal bar/gud doesnt show up. Anyone have any idea what's up?

no decal for J00!
No but for real try updating all you .net frameworks and also go into decal, options, and try enabling Use alternate injection method.

After doing some research on this too, I realize I never installed new directx 9.0c after installing 2965. Would this be the reason decal doesn't show up in game?

I thought I had all that stuff installed anyway because 2960 has been working fine for me. I just switched to 2965 and it started having problems. I am a noob on this stuff though, so should I have completely reinstalled all those things in the sticky when upgrading to 2965?
