I thought about writing a short story about Star Trek. Have a rl trekkie nerd dream about being in the Star Trek universe and have a cosmic accident or rift in time and space send him to that universe. His excitement turns to terror when he looks down on his shirt and realizes its colored red. The end lol

Eventually I would think everyone does die. They have to be running low on ammo. They need to hit the city and raid the gun/food/medical supply areas then go back to the country. Unless they find all of those in the country. But eventually they will all die. At least I would think.

Dumbasses are worried about ammo and about zombies hearing gunfire. It's the country. Every house probably has several 22 rifles and a couple thousand rounds of ammo. Silencers are simple to build, or you can just pull the muffler off a lawn mower and get a half-assed one.
If poking a zombie in the eye with a 3" knife works, a .22LR should work fine too.

Well apparently these "country folk" are dumb arses because they dont have 22's. I personally have 3. 22 semi auto, 22/410 over and under and a 22 mag. And I have literally about 10,000 rounds for the 22's alone. Not including my other rifles. Plus I reload so I have plenty of powder/bullets/primers and cases. But these people have none. Just factory ammo and a lot that they wasted to do target practice a while back. Pure stupid imo.

indeed. hello people you had zombies chasing someone in a car.. why not do the same thing in a small town, get a loud ass car covered in fresh blood, get the zombies to chase after it. clear the town mostly out, and go house to house doing a clean sweep, taking guns and whatever.
next day do the same thing.
next day the same thing.
till you've gone through every house, gotten all the guns and ammo, probably found reloaders and books on how to do everything
voila problem fricken solved.
