Boards Archive] |
Welcome to the Vault Network
forum archive.
This is not a complete archive, time didn't allot us the
opportunity to properly backup the majority of the boards
deemed "expendable". Most boards on this list have at least
20-40 pages archived (non-logged in pages, 15 topics per
page).
Popular boards may have as many as 250 pages archived at 50
topics per page, while others deemed of historical
signifigance may be archived in their entirety.
We may not agree with how the board shutdown was managed, but
we've done what we could to preserve some of its history in
lieu of that.
Please enjoy the archive.

See EPS like this, you take the headline, then talk out of your ass about things you know nothing about. Learn from BT. Making up crap is how it works around here. You find something written by a vagina doctors brothers uncle's daughter who knows nothing about anything and parrot that as absolutes. Really anything you can find thats supports whatever you want to troll and twist it, doesnt matter how dumb it is. Follow BT's advice here.

according to Gallup its at 9.1% PRINCETON, NJ -- U.S. unemployment, as measured by Gallup without seasonal adjustment, increased to 9.1% in February from 8.6% in January and 8.5% in December. The 0.5-percentage-point increase in February compared with January is the largest such month-to-month change Gallup has recorded in its not-seasonally adjusted measure since December 2010, when the rate rose 0.8 points to 9.6% from 8.8% in November. A year ago, Gallup recorded a February increase of 0.4 percentage points, to 10.3% from 9.9% in January 2011. In addition to the 9.1% of U.S. workers who are unemployed, 10.0% are working part time but want full-time work. This percentage is similar to the 10.1% in January, but is higher than the 9.6% of February 2011. http://www.gallup.com/poll/153161/Unemployment-February.aspx

Uptick in the Gallup poll unemployment numbers while the economy is adding jobs...is a good thing. It means people who have been out of the labor force have reentered it, most likely due to optimism about jobs being available again. Productivity increases have all but stalled, which is also a good thing. It means if companies want to grow, they are going to have to hire more people. For the last couple of years increased efficiency was continuing to push up productivity without additional workers. Looks like the limit to that has been hit. We are still adding jobs far to slowly, but adding them sure beats the hell out of losing them. Things pointing in the right direction finally. No sure thing of course, could tank again tomorrow. Energy and commodity prices are at scary levels and still going up. But enough hiring will alleviate those problems as well. If investors have other places to put their money, they are going to get out of the commodity markets fast as hell, bubble prices are clear to see there. All in all, these are the most positive jobs reports in 4 years. Hell Yeah.

I'm just waiting for congress to grow some balls and put a tax on companies who have more than 30% of their workforce out of country and add a tariffs to all goods imported by "U.S. Companies" who have outsourced to other countries. They also need to implement tax breaks for U.S. Based companies who keep 100% production and employment inside the continental U.S.
