A fairly drunk me late in the 3rd period with my (now retired and not giving a fck) Dad.

Notes from a hilarious time in Vancouver:

I walked into the club section where my seats were about 45 minutes before puck drop, and a woman passing me with her SO whispered (but I could hear it) "Gosh they're really letting in the riff raff nowadays."

After Dallas finally scores and ties it up, I stand up and cheer, and all around me I hear "Go home! Go back to Dallas!" - then one lone dissenting voice "Spend money THEN go home!"

When Loungo gave up the 2nd goal of the night (not his fault), I swear to god everyone around me started screaming "PULL HIM! PULL LOUNGO!" After 2 goals. The love is deep, I can tell.

Apparently reminding Canuck fans that they are on the hook for Luongo for another 9 years is a serious no-no.

The game winner last night was so terrible I thought they WERE going to pull him.. I guess not? Fan behind me comments, "Watching this guy is like throwing rocks at a live bomb."

In one redeeming moment, there were 2 little girls behind me with their dad, and a puck literally nearly hit me, it hit the seat 2 over to the left; a younger guy 2 seats over gets the puck and hands it to the 2 girls. I shook his hand and told him that was classy.

great frickin time

This was for you Brandun grin

That's cool the guy gave those girls the puck.

They are VERY tentative about Luongo in Van City. Even though my Flames are fighting for a playoff berth vs. Dallas (amongst others)...any victory over the Canuckleheads is a good one.

Sounds like a great game.

There's some delight in ale and wine,
And some in girls with ankles fine,
But my delight, yes, always mine,
Is to dance with Jak o' the Shadows.

rofl...

*rangers suck!* *rangers suck!*

Also for Brandun...my Flames (barely) beat the Habs last night. Another loss for the Canadien! They're rivalling Edmonton for 2nd worst team in the league...

That dad in the background was an awesome guy. He was basically the only decent Canuck in the building other than the one that gave his girls the puck...
