Yea the sign of Horus, the Egyptian god, looks very similar to the cross used in Christianity, and predates Christ by about 1000 years. There are also around 40 similarities between Christ and Horus.

IIRC White Wolf deals with crosses by saying it's not the symbol itself but the force of the belief of the bearer. Whether the religion is "true" or not doesn't matter as much as the conviction of the believer.
