Subject: Quick & Dirty Skill Planner
I couldn't find any character planner that supports the new skills etc, so I wrote a small web-based tool to do just that.

It is only for planning how to use your skill credits, no support for XP distribution (should I raise STR or Heavy Weapons next) and I doubt I will ever add it. But if you want to see if a build is possible at all, this is a way to test.

The tool knows about the 4 extra skill credits you can get in total (and at what level you can earn them), the 70 point spec limit and how much each skill costs to train/spec.
No data is saved on the server, but if your browser supports localStorage it will save (and later restore) the last build you were working on. In addition to that, there is PermaLink on the page that you can bookmark or share and which contains all the information needed to restore the state the page was in.

Tested in FF10 on OSX10.6 only, but should work in all modern browsers.

No comments on the terrible look of the page please. I might give it some more fancy style in the future, but my main goal (figure out which skills I can get on a char) is achieved, so it is low priority happy
Feature wishes, reports of functional bugs etc are however always welcome.
I will put the source on GitHub later today, but if you want to take it now and improve/change things to install it on your own website, feel free to do so. Just copy ALL files to your server in that case and do not reference jQuery or some other part of it from my server.

Do you really have to click the up arrow 274 times to get it to level 275? I couldn't find a way to get it higher other than clicking. I'm on Firefox.

Also, you are missing the 2 extra credits we all got from this patch. The maximum is 100 without and 102 with the 2 luminance credits.

Otherwise, looks great. Having a way to get it to go up to 275 quicker than clicking a few hundred times would be great.

So it's 52 credits at creation now? Will update.

As for the leveling to 275: I will add a better way some time, but for now you can click on PermaLink, then change the level in the URL happy

Ok, added the 2 credits and also changed the behavior of the level up/down arrows.
The up arrow will now increase the level to the next level at which you get a skill credit. The down arrow will decrease the level to the first level at which you have one skill credit less than at the current level.

(You can still set any level between 1 and 275 by clicking the PermaLink and then changing the level parameter in the URL)

Cool Utility! Works really well, thank you!

One feature suggestion. It would be nice to see the "available spec credits" (now 70) while building the template. So when you specialize a skill, it deducts from this available amount.

Change is submitted to GitHub and deployed to the version on my site.

And just for reference, even before it did not allow you to spec more than 70 credits worth. It just didn't show how close to 70 you are directly (you could still sum up the "Invested" column manually).
