You shouldn't, Mr. Outpost. Slouching can cause depression and all sorts of other ailments. Be conscious of your posture and you'll notice improvements in many parts of you life.

I used to slouch a bit when I was younger, mostly because my friends are all shorter then me and I did not like feeling like a god damn giant all the time.. Posture is extremely important, a straight back squared shoulders and a purposeful walk has some gravitas to it, as long as you don't overdo it then you just look like a stiff moron. grin

I find purposeful stride and posture beneficial to not only appearance but self confidence.

I tend to sit rather straight. It is a carry-over from my days in the military. People sometimes comment that I must have been in the military because of how I sit.

I slouch when I sit. My posture is good when I am standing. I don't sit much so I guess it's probably ok.

Too upright of a posture looks very strange though - a lot of nerdy people have this issue.

The best is to do an upper body workout and in general stay fit to maintain a good posture.
