Boards Archive] |
Welcome to the Vault Network
forum archive.
This is not a complete archive, time didn't allot us the
opportunity to properly backup the majority of the boards
deemed "expendable". Most boards on this list have at least
20-40 pages archived (non-logged in pages, 15 topics per
page).
Popular boards may have as many as 250 pages archived at 50
topics per page, while others deemed of historical
signifigance may be archived in their entirety.
We may not agree with how the board shutdown was managed, but
we've done what we could to preserve some of its history in
lieu of that.
Please enjoy the archive.

http://www.imgplace.com/viewimg69/9411/99pointless.jpg I know that one reason we didn't become famous is that we over produced our marketing material. This poster was for a gig that was cancelled. We did a "Variety" show in Sellery Hall at UW Madison and it went bad...in that it was the ultimate punk riot where they didn't realize who were were and didn't know what to do when the beer and lit cigarettes started flying into the tightly packed non punk audience. We had advertised heavily, so what was supposed to be a dorm talent show turned into our own gig with punkers from all over town crowding in with all the unsuspecting dorm kids. They ended up unplugging us 40 minutes later and there was much damage. Charlie even puked on the head dorm lady. So Merlyn's cancelled our show because they heard we were too violent. TRUE STORY!

Nnanji, you simply must find a way to continue your punk dialogue in music to an audience. Why dont you form a band? Just think: You have the best musical years ahead of you. Sure that poster could use some work, but at the time, who gave a flying futz.

No, real punk rockers get gigs cancelled because local progressive rock clubs hear that their shows erupt into violence and vandalism!
