Would Rush have gone on the air to call him a slut? Would conservatives be appalled that a young unmarried male was having sex? Would the conservative debate focus not on the cost of contraceptives, but rather we should allow young unmarried males to have sex and get away with it?

Right, that's what I thought.

Exactly. I tried to tell him that before but he pulls a Bonk and keep repeating the same thing over and over. They think they are in the right and don't care what the other side says. Jut look at Mastboro.

What I don't get is the whole "wants us to pay for her to have sex" thing Rush is spewing about.

The issue was if insurance companies had to offer contraceptives as a basic service, not if the government had to fund that basic service. No one is saying the government should reimburse private insurance companies for any costs associated with birth control pills. No one ever has.

Rush has not only proven himself (again) to be a stupid, sexist, shit bag....he has also completely misrepresented reality (again).

I'm sorta sad anyone is stupid enough to believe and support the guy. Not because I give a damn about such idiots, but because I have to share a country with them. How god damn stupid would you have to be to get your "information" from such a useless shit?

Nope. Id tell em the same thing. Go to planned parenthood and spend 15 bucks a month and get your birth control and a free bag of condoms.

3000$ a year for birth control? WTH? You can get it for 10-15 a month. But if she made some cuts in her budget she could for sure make it. I bet her cell phone bill is 10x more a month than that birth control shes begging for. Idiots. Male or female budget your dang money and take responsibility for yourself and stop living off hand outs. Thats your own responsibility. Not the insurance companies responsibility to provide it for you. People are so used to being catered to. Its sickening.

You are sickening.

You also are stupid.

Reproductive health is part of health.

Women shouldn't have to travel to the ghetto to get birth control simply because you are a mod dick bag and wish they all were virgins until you personally mod them.

No one is asking anyone to use tax dollars to pay for their birth control, only demanding that insurance companies treat their reproductive health like any other health issue...and cover it.

If you don't support that, you modg suck as a human being, hate your daughters, your mother, your sisters.....every woman in your life. You hate them. You think their issues are less important than your limp dick.

How mod sad is that?

covering birth control (preventative health care) is much cheaper and more pragmatic than covering pregnancy and childbirth (reactive health care). only embarrassing religious twats could possibly argue against that.

I seem to remember that back in the stone age, my birth control pills were covered by my insurance.

But then, we are talking back in the late 80's.

To me, its more about the line between what is personal responsibility and what is the insurance company's responsibility to cover. SOMEONE will end up paying for this, probably in insurance premiums. Where do we draw the line?

What about lube? Should the insurance companies pay for that as well?

If you want to have buttsecks with your friend it'd probably be cheaper for your insurance company to give you condoms and lube than pay for treatment for your ruptured butthole and aids. grin

Personal responsibility ends when you actually pay for insurance.

You are paying to keep healthy. You are PAYING. YOU are paying.

Government requiring those insurance agencies to cover ALL health problems is part of a responsible society, only idiots would exclude some health problems because some fucktards have an issue with some of those problems being linked with everyday sexual activity.

Sex isn't bad, no matter how much the religious dickwads want it to be. It's part of life, get over it, without sex, your ass wouldn't be here. Idiot.

The fact is that religious fundamentalists think its worse for a woman to have sex out of marriage than for the man. Woman's sexuality is evil to them

I'd say the Oxy finally ate Rush's brain but that would be providing an excuse for the despicable twat.

He's not even partially correct about what the woman testified about. He's more less or less calling her a slut for shits and giggles.

NPR posted:
Fluke is the third-year Georgetown Law Student who testified before a congressional panel about the Obama Administration's controversial new health insurance regulation, the one requiring that nearly all plans cover contraception. During that session, Fluke told the story of a classmate who needed birth control medication to control ovarian cysts. According to Fluke, the classmate had difficulty convincing pharmacists that the medication was for her medical problem (which Georgetown's policy is supposed to cover) rather than to prevent pregnancy (which it's not supposed to cover). Facing $100 out-of-pocket expenses she could not afford, the classmate stopped taking the pills and developed a large, painful, and dangerous cyst. Doctors had to remove one of her ovaries, Fluke said, and now the twenty-something law student is showing signs of early menopause.

I thought this was about a private school deciding what to carry on their insurance?

Georgetown is a private Jesuit Catholic school, yes?

Her issue was with the school not including birth control in her insurance.

Go to a different school?

The local Hospitals in my city are Catholic.

They don't give the workers access to contraceptives on their insurance either.

She is going to one of the most prestigious law schools in our country.

She knows what their rules are.

Why the hell do you think that religious universities, that accept federal funding, should be able to discriminate against their students and employees? That's doesn't sound very American.

When I studied at BYU I was not allowed to drink alcohol, coffee, or tea, couldn't wear shorts 2 inches above my knee, couldn't have facial hair (unless I had a beard card.

I had to sign a contract stating as much.

I have a feeling she did as well.

She knew what she was being asked before she went to that school.

I am all for her freedom to make choices in her medical and sex life.

I do not believe she trumps the schools right.

She knew where she was going.

She knew what their rules were.

She made a conscious choice.

Go to a different school.

Why should insurance HAVE to cover it? They can offer it as an option but it seems retarded to force a privare company to cover anything.

If you dont like it then dont get insurance and pay for everything yourself. I dont get what the problem is?

Insurance should cover bonks dating services too - happiness is a health issue.

Im stressed out god damn it!!! Stress is proven to cause all kinds of health issues from mental to physical.

I want my health insurance company to buy me everything from a giant house to a ferrari and to pay all the bills.

Damn it!! Im syressed. Why wont they help me?

Preventing stress is absolutely preventative health care. They need to do this otherwise i might get cancer and that will cost them more than a mil or two.
