	TULSA, Oklahoma - A handful of bills under consideration in the state legislature involve carrying a gun in plain sight. One that easily passed a house committee this week would require a holster and a license to openly carry. 02/29/2012 Related Story: Oklahoma House Committee Approves Open Carry Bill Oklahoma is one of seven states that does not have some sort of open carry law. 'Have gun, will openly carry' could soon be a new motto in Oklahoma. "I don't really have a problem with it. I think it's a constitutional right, protected by the second amendment," said Tulsa resident David Parker. That's the idea behind House Bill 2522. It would allow anyone with a concealed gun license to openly carry their weapons in a holster. 	Law enforcement in states with open carry have gone on record as having an "unofficial" stance of doing everything in their power to convince you to NOT open carry, despite it being legal... it may not be all you think it is. However, yes, it does make the whole "if you print, you lose your license to carry" deal go away - which is actually the point of it imo. -----signature----- If ignorance were painful, half the posters here would be on morphine drips. 	weird, our state you're able to open carry without anything special. actually there are groups that meet up at starbucks that open carry, trying to desensitize the public from seeing guns etc. -----signature----- ( - Y - ) These ones are not real, just FYI. This is the biggest reason I support open carry. I understand not wanting people flashing their weapon as a threat, but it's idiotic that you become a criminal if your shirt happens to lift a little too high when you bend over to grab something... -----signature----- 'member dat?
