Subject: Anyone still playing Skyrim?
I have a gamebreaking bug (I think) and I thought I would ask if anyone here has experienced this and (hopefully) has a fix. I have scoured the Innertubes and even posted on Bethesda's forums about it but nobody has been able to help me.

Anyhoo, I am getting stuck in certain menus and cannot get out of them. Hitting Tab doesn't work. Hitting ESC doesn't work. Hitting everything/anything doesn't work and I have to CTRL-ALT-DEL to shut down the client and start all over.

The first time it happened to me was on the World Map. I accidentally clicked part of the map outside of one of the towns and got to the place where you set a marker/waypoint. After it is placed the following screen appears:

When I see this screen, I know I'm screwed. No matter which of those three choices I click (Remove It, Leave It, Move It) absolutely NOTHING happens. None of the options at the bottom of the screen work, either. I am completely stuck on this screen and have to shut down the client and restart to get back in (usually I have lost progress when this happens). I assumed that it was limited to the World Map screen so I decided I'd be super careful and not do that again and maybe everything would be okay. However, I tried Alchemy and got the same thing:

Clicking "OK" there does nothing, hitting TAB does nothing and once again I am stuck and have to shut down the client to get out of there.

Note that the screen is not locked up here...I can freely move my cursor and click til my heart's content (the choices even indicate that they have been selected when I click on them, just nothing happens). I assumed that it was a simple matter of reassigning hotkeys but I cannot find where to do this for menus. I even tried installing SkyUI (thinking that perhaps it was a by product of Skyrim's awful UI) but it is still messed up. Last night I even uninstalled and re-installed the game but the issue was still there when I relaunched. Has anyone ever seen this? TIA!

Lots of people here used to, but they all had to quit after they took arrows in the knee.

Yes, all video drivers are updated. I am actually on a clean Windows 7 install as I recently got a new mobo and CPU so everything is up to date.

The weird thing is that I can still move the cursor in those screens. It's not like the game has frozen or anything. I can alt-tab in and out and I even get the little selection indicator when the cursor rests on one of those options. It's just that NOTHING HAPPENS when I click in ANY menu. If there are "Yes" or "No" options in the menus, I can't just click "Yes" or "No" to select an option. I have to hit the Y or N keys. Unfortunately that ONLY works on menus where the options are limited to "yes" and "no," otherwise nothing happens at all (for example, hitting "O" for "OK" does nothing).
