Boards Archive] |
Welcome to the Vault Network
forum archive.
This is not a complete archive, time didn't allot us the
opportunity to properly backup the majority of the boards
deemed "expendable". Most boards on this list have at least
20-40 pages archived (non-logged in pages, 15 topics per
page).
Popular boards may have as many as 250 pages archived at 50
topics per page, while others deemed of historical
signifigance may be archived in their entirety.
We may not agree with how the board shutdown was managed, but
we've done what we could to preserve some of its history in
lieu of that.
Please enjoy the archive.

WTF is the difference between: DDR3 1866 (PC3 15000) DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) And the follow up would be if my mobo/cpu can support DDR3 1866 - will it automatically handle either PC3 15000 or 14900?

I am not an expert...by any means. But will attempt to answer as best I can The first # (DDR3xxxx) refers to the maximum clock speed the Ram can operate at (in this case, 1.866 Ghz.) The second 3 (PCyyyy) refers the maximum transfer rate that the memory reaches, in MB/s Clock speed is backwards compatible (Mobos can normally be throttled down in clock speed.) I don't think the data transfer limit matters....it should work, just at a bit slower transfer rate. Best thing to do is check mobo documentation if you aren't sure.

The original Dance Dance Revolution had better songs. They started to get stupider with different releases. I seem to recall DDR3 was terrible.
