Statists get the government into things it shouldn't be involved with. Then they realize it's going to be expensive. Their solution is to get involved in other things that they shouldn't be involved in with the hope that by controlling more aspects of our lives they can mitigate some of the costs.

It continues to spiral until the country goes from people having freedom to people having to say they have freedom lest someone put their name on a list for being an agitator.

Use of contraception is a good thing for society.

Making sure it is available to everyone, especially the lower class, will make everyone's life better.

That is a fact.

It will also reduce the number of abortions, so if you're pro-life or anti-abortion you should want as many people as possible to be able to afford it.

This kind of stuff is how conservatism presents itself in today's America. Many here support it with their votes but are sure to pay lip-service against it here to save face coffee

Like with many things, I blame the two party system.

Because the right to incorporate and have limited liability is granted from the government. It is reasonable that the government is able to place such restrictions on such corporations. grin

We have it in a nutshell. If liberals think something is good then they think government should fund it, if not make it mandatory for someone else to fund it. They don’t understand freedom. They hate it in fact. Freedom means people can do things liberals don’t like or not do thing they do like.

It's cheaper to pay for contraception than to pay entitlements.

You're not very bright.

Don't blame liberals for this crap. We didn't have anything to do with it.

It's the libtards who are driving up the cost of birth control.

So is Paul rebranding himself as a liberal now? And also presenting some separation between himself and liberals he disagrees with by calling them libtards? Is this new and different from his claim of libertarianism, or does he have a great argument for being both or neither at the moment?

I have always called myself a liberal. In fact I have always claimed to be the most liberal person on the Outpost and have challenged anyone to put their positions side by side with mine and show that they are more liberal than me.

Obrien is the only one to take the challenge so far and he went down in flames on the very first issue. And it was an issue of his choosing.
