March 3, so 1.5 weeks. I'm just waiting on my contractions to go regular and/or water to break at this point. Everything else pointing towards labor has already happened. I'm also 2cm dilated.

I think this really just depends on the child! Two of mine were super super easy, as babies, toddlers, kids, and one teenager now who is still amazingly laid back. The third- let's just say she came out ANGRY and stayed that way! She was not easy as a baby, or a toddler, or a child (she's 6 now) but I will say that the older she gets and the better she can communicate, the easier things have been.

With all 3 of mine so far, all the labor stuff happened and I dilated to 3 cm by 37 weeks. Then I just sat there and waited...and waited...and waited...
Fortunately all of my labors have been VERY short and sweet- by that I mean 3cm to baby in less than 3 hours, each time! I wish my labor luck upon every pregnant woman I know!

I find my twin girls are getting easier the older they get. The beginning was rough.. staying up almost all night to feed, change etc.. They depend on you 24/7.. it wears on you, especially two. I remember when they could hold their own bottle was such a relief..
They're two now and it's 1000x easier. They use forks and spoons.. not only can eat "real" food but you don't have to cut everything up in such small pieces unless it's meat.. everything else they chomp bites out of..
They also want to help out a lot now.. I told my wife let them.. I think it cute to watch them hand me a dish from the dishwasher or what have you.. they seem to get satisfaction out of it lol.

The best thing ever are the mesh underwear. Steal as many as you can.
Oh and if you are going for the drugs, be sure to say when they ask you the pain scale that your pain is at 11 right away cause otherwise they will try to soothe you with stuff that doesn't work.

the mesh underwear is the solution to keep the padding in place. I don't know what it is about them that make them better than regular undies after delivery (other than not ruining your own with leaks), but they are better.
