Last night I met the Voidwolf after kicking a Darth Mofo with my Mandalorian girlfriend. I finally chose her over the Princess Leah Risha. She explicitly told me would could adopt because we were two different species, after we said some type of Mandalorian vow. laugh

This is a fun game. I have my lvl 50 speeder and now I am going to become a super badass Scoundrel Snuggler Pivateer Pilot.

I am enjoying the story on my Jugger, even if it unfolds slowly. Plus I have a ton of alts.

What is the point of end game in SWTOR other than PVP for fun?

I would think that people would reroll.

Raiding and\or Pvp.

Like in Wow, you need decent gear to start doing the harder Dungeons and Raids. Dailies are the easiest way to get that equipment.

You are missing 3\4 of the daily quests. Only 8 comms available on Illum.

There's like 18 comms available on Belsavis.

If you hit all of them (including group quests and the space mission), you can get ~25 daily comms.

8 comms for epic (51) armor\hilts.

120 for Raid Level Earpieces and implants.

Money is good too - you'll make ~150k a day running through the dailies.

I've been running my mine for about 2 weeks and am almost done. My toon is pretty pimp at this point.

I know I got a quest to go there (Bonus Series), but after doing a few quests with no commendation reward, I left.

My friends all love this game and each have a 50. I'm barely crawling through the 30s now... just can't seem to get into it as much.

You have to run through the bonus series to unlock the dailies. They don't award comms the first time through.

At the Dom outpost, there are 2 group quests (1 is soloable with a stealther) that award 3 comms a piece + a lvl 49 purple item mod. There are also two\three solo quests that award 1 a piece.

From there, you go south to the weird teleport thingie that takes you to another zone where there are 5 solo quests (worth 1 a piece) and one more group quest (3 comms + sweed item mod.)

There's also a single space mission that awards 2 Daily Comms.

The grind at 50 is awful and boring.

Daily quests are one of the worst mmo "innovations" ever. And SWTOR takes the daily quest concept to a new level by making them the basis of everything. plain

Ehhh...they get boring after a while, I agree, but, it doesn't take long to get the nice mods for all your orange equipment. They are only supposed to be a bridge between "normal" content and the hard mode and operations stuff, anyway. And, the credits are nice. I did them for 4-5 days, and then concentrated on alts while waiting for my guild to get some 50s so we can do the group stuff.

It's still a terrible, lazy way to do end-game content. Just have people do the exact same thing every day for days! No variety required!

Here is the core issue. This game just started 2 months ago. How long did it take WOW, Everquest, DAOC to fully develop their worlds? You have to give these developers some time to develop content. i remember Spraggons everywhere in DAOC. Wtf are you kidding? You just painted the Spragoons red in this zone and called them something else.

I played Huttball for the first time last night at lvl 49. I PvP'd in Rift all of the time. In this game I concentrated on PvE. I enjoyed Huttball. You have an announcer encouraging you to kill and maim each other. How fun is that? It is easy to be critical of any MMO. I think this one is a winner. you can play the storyline for other classes to the end.

Ehhh. It doesn't bother me that much. These games are all grinds to one degree or another. It just depends how enjoyable the grind is and how good the carrots are. Personally, after getting to 50, I find it a bit soothing to know there are repeatable, fairly easy quest to do. If I'm in the mood, I do them. Or, if I only have a bit of time, I know running a couple of the dailies is a productive use of time.

Would I like hundreds of hours of tough, innovative, ever-changing, rewarding end game content? Well, d'uh. But, amongst alternatives, a small, quick set of repeatable is a reasonable thing to have in the game. I prefer that to all of a sudden, everything requires a well equipped group and there's nothing useful you ca do solo, which is the end game for many games.

It's kind of crazy how MMO's haven't evolved better game mechanics since everquest. The original diablo was onto something with randomized dungeons and that was over 15 years ago, but somehow developers can't seem to get it done. End games are all the same gear grab, more or less. Oh well.

I'm only level 17 right now but it's been fun so far. One thing that is nice, is that if I get bored of doing normal quests I can do the space missions. They are good exp and aren't boring.

I love dungeon crawling. A close group of friends taking on epic dungeons is something I enjoy. I have enjoyed dungeon crawls since Ultima Online. If there are enough dungeons (instances) then they can be the same. In SWTOR they have Flashpoints. All I am saying is give games time.

For about an hour.

Then you realize there's only 2 missions per level bracket and most of them are repeats of the same mission type and they're exactly the same every time.

Space missions are a good example of SWTOR's strengths and weaknesses. They look pretty and they're fun the first time but quickly get dull. I can literally do some of them in my sleep by now.

The good part of the game is the bit that's story focused. But unfortunately that doesn't map onto end-game well at all.

Grats Mo!! I hope I can get some game time in this weekend. I have 2 in the high 30's. My heal spec trooper is weak soloing elites now. Even lower level ones. My heal Sorc still is a breeze to play. And then there are my Empire alts...

I have spent most time lately just crafting just to see if it was at all worth it in any craft.

pvp rank is capped out. i already own a battlemaster speeder, an epic battle master gear bag, 1000 merc tokens and 1000 BG tokens and everything else i could ever possibly need at my level, including my companion being maxed out with pvp gear.

im debating on whether or not to cancel.
i really hate hutball.

I'm on the Mind Trick server. Don't suppose there are any Outposters there?

I don't get the sense that there is an Outposter server. Am I wrong? I wouldn't mind starting a new character, either on Mind Trick, or any other server that has a few Outposters playing.

I do like my guild but it is full of casual players who love playing a bunch of alts and who mostly don't get further than level 30 or so. Currently, we do have maybe 6-8 characters above level 40, but that's between the two sides.

Yesterday , I got a letter from Akaavi, my warrior amazon girlfriend. She said she did not like the way Gus Tuno was looking at her. Gus is a Mon Calamari Fishhead rogue -healer on my Millenium Falcon. She told him she knew ways to pluck his fish eyes out without him dying. She also sent me another letter saying she kicked some guys ass who was down talking me at some Outpost. I have not answered any of the letters yet. Maybe the next one i will to complete this virtual life. laugh This is fun.
