Apparently it had full cargo of intercontinental missles with nuclear warheads during the fire...it's miracle the whole city didn't turn in to crater!

Testes has a point. Fire shouldn't set them off but they are Russian made so there's no way to be sure.

Fear of nuclear anything is driven by ignorance.

Sure there is. No nuclear warhead (made by anyone) can be detonated simply by being on fire.

Now you can make a real "dirty" problem as the fire could conceivably breach the containment and result in the nuclear material being dispersed in the smoke - but detonation-by-fire is flatly impossible, for anyone's nuke.

These are the same guys who thought creating a reactor core that was coated with EXTREMELY FLAMMABLE MATERIAL would be brilliant idea! (see, Chernobyl)

and if weapon grade plutonium from several warheads had gotten to sea...it would be RIP TUNA.

That's OK, you probably didn't know the fuel used in Russian submarine ICBMs explodes when it comes into contact with salt water.

If you want a few nightmares, go read Hostile Waters, the non-fiction true story about K-219 by Tom Clancy.
