Boards Archive] |
Welcome to the Vault Network
forum archive.
This is not a complete archive, time didn't allot us the
opportunity to properly backup the majority of the boards
deemed "expendable". Most boards on this list have at least
20-40 pages archived (non-logged in pages, 15 topics per
page).
Popular boards may have as many as 250 pages archived at 50
topics per page, while others deemed of historical
signifigance may be archived in their entirety.
We may not agree with how the board shutdown was managed, but
we've done what we could to preserve some of its history in
lieu of that.
Please enjoy the archive.

Tried their IPA, Porter, and Oatmeal Stout at the Flying Saucer. FANTASTIC. Gonna have to find a place near'bouts sells 'em in 4-packs instead of just bombers.

The Taddy Porter and Oatmeal Stout own permanent spots on my top ten list. Amazing beers. If you can get it, try St. Ambroise Oatmeal Stout. It's out of Montreal. I had someone pick some up and bring it back to me in the States. Second best oatmeal stout I've had. Edit: Wow. I haven't had any Sammy Smiths for about a year. I've been on an American IPA streak for months. I'm going to buy a couple 4-packs of Sammy's. Thanks cobane for bringing me back to my senses.

I'll have to check that out. I can only manage one or maybe two oatmeal stouts. They are just too dense and sweet for me to handle more. But, I do enjoy that one or two.

I'll look for the St. Ambroise. I never thought I'd enjoy something called an oatmeal stout but I was half-'n-half between that and the Imperial Stout and decided to go with what I hadn't tried. Flying Saucer is an amazing place. I took my date to some bar that was recommended to me called Sherlock's. They had a pitiful selection of beer. She ordered something random which turned out to be a Woodchuck Apple Cider or some shit and she complained the whole time about ordering apple juice so we left and went across the parking lot to the Saucer. This place apparently specializes in beer and they have a very impressive selection. From their website it looks like they're only located in the south. Will definitely be making return trips.

Oh yeah. Flying Saucer. They have one in San Antonio that I went to once. I've had dreams about it since.
