For what it's worth though, some Sonics are the worst places you'll evedr eat. I tried one in Myrtle Beach and it was absolutely horrid. I can certainly understand why some people think they suck really hard. The owner of that one needs to be taken out along with his managers and beat within an inch of their lives.

I love their tater tots, not a huge fan of the burgers, though. Mainly because our local one is largely staffed by people who dont understand "the only condiment i want is ketchup". I either get ketchup, mayo and mustard (i dont mind mayo but i hate mustard with a passion), or no veggies, no cheese, no anything, just a plain burger with ketchup on it. Which sucks because we dont eat fast food often, so when we do i really want to enjoy it and if we go to Sonic i rarely get to enjoy it.

At any rate if I am going to have a burger out, it is a triple prime burger at Ruby Tuesdays (despite the name it is a single patty -- the thing is though it is made from ground beef that isnt usually made into ground beef -- better cuts).
And when I have a burger at home, I pretty much never put cheese on it unless I am having a pizza burger. Plus if it doesnt have a pink center, you overcooked it -- 160 degree vulcanized burgers arent worth eating.

Well, a burger with just bun, patty, and ketchup is a bike with training wheels. It's the kind of burger that a little child would eat, until they graduated to a real burger.
My point exactly. I was asking them for a regular burger (cheese, pickles, veggies and all), but with ketchup as the only condiment. For some reason that translated to "plain burger with ketchup".

I worked at a sonic during highschool
A sonic hamburger comes "big generic box of frozen pressed ammonia drenched" beef company. Before they're cooked, the patties are more white than pink.. not because of frost, that's the ammonia.
Their toppings come from GFS in large two gallon tubs.
They're cooked on a flat large grill.
They cook for a minute on each side before being moved to the cold part of the grill where they can sit for up to an hour and a half before they have to be thrown out. Before they're put on a bun they move them to the center for thirty seconds to warm them back up.
Yummy.
