Never stayed at TI before...anyone else have? It any good?

It's a Bachelor Party, so there are 10 of us confirmed, 3 dingles who are still on the fence...so I booked 7 rooms.

Rate was good. About $100.00/night per room.

The Groom wanted Ceasar's Palace, but it was $250-350.00/night per room and I told him he's craaazzzyyyy. I'll buy him a lapdance or 10 with the difference...

A little long in the tooth but not a bad place. With the monorail system now, it is extremely easy to party hop up and down the strip.

Never had the urge to go to vegas. My friends used to go yearly and I always opted out.

Would probably be a blast for bachelor party.

This.

Been to LA, people said S**thole, I liked it.

Been to Ireland, people said something similar, I really like it.

Been to Italy, people said it sucks and they're a**holes, I really really liked it (and the people were great).

Was in New Orleans which people like? and I was a solid 'meh' on it (pre-Katrina)

Been to San Fran, people love it, I did not care for it.

Was in Prague, people LOVE Prague, and I wasn't impressed. The best part was the Soviet influence on structures...solid cement everything, so hilarious to see, and the beer.

Been to Vegas...3 times already, this'll be 4th time. Not my favorite spot, but it's not my wedding and the groom wants to go to Vegas...*shrug*

-Mirage, MGM, and MGM thus far.

Cool.

I've walked outside it before, seen the pirate ship, think I went quickly in there once as my brother was looking for a cheap table of....something....I don't fully remember.

And last time we were down, we picked up 2 girls outside the hotel, on the sidewalk...at like noon. They liked my hat or something. It was quite random.

Sorry, single owner.

http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2009/mar/21/treasure-island/

New Treasure Island owner Phil Ruffin stands in front of his resort Friday, March 20, 2009 on the Las Vegas Strip. Ruffin took over the property earlier that morning after purchasing it from MGM Mirage for $775 million.

I stayed in caesars last year, was fairly disappointed for the price. I think we got stuck in an older wing, tho. Never stayed at TI, i typically slum it in Vegas (how often are you really in your room, anyway?)

Make sure to take em to the Spearmint Rhino.

I've been to both, plus a few. Dont get me wrong, Sapphire is nice, but nothing beats the Rhino. Its more expensive, but its the best.

Another event we make sure to go to while there is going to see Steel Panther. Think they are down at mandalay, great hair band show. Tables there are reasonable, too, and definitely worth it with a crew.

Oh man if it's the House of Blues in Mandalay Bay we'll be there. That place is really cool.

Thanks for the suggestion UY

Yeah, they are practically based out of the House of Blues auditorium. Place is always packed, but tickets are really reasonable, $25 maybe? I think a table was $100 for 4 on top of that, can usually get it at the door, gets you your own waitress, and drinks MUCH faster than having to wade through the crowd.

They have a few albums out, really raunchy stuff, but in an awesome way. Think they have a few videos out there too. Last time i was there the lead singer from Disturbed joined em for a few songs. They usually have a guest show up.

See this is the same thing I thought. Went there for a Burlesque show...but I was like..."Really? People stay here?"

Of course, I love NY NY, and The Excalibur is good for the kicks too...so it's not ALL about how ritzy it is...

I just sort of dislike being that far down the strip. TI isn't right in the middle, but it's so close to Mirage and The Venetian that I think we'll be OK as I found a lot to do in and around Ceasars and the Venetian.

Neat.

Glad it was over 2 years ago, then.

And yes, Luxor and Excalibur are way the hell down there. There are better places to stay closer in.

Supposedly going in a few weeks with some friends, get rooms mid-strip and wander around drinking is the plan.

He gets free rooms too.

He's also dropped 10-10k gambling down there.

Cool. Have fun!

Never stayed at TI but I have played the tables and walked through a couple times. Seemed like an alright place. I left even. happy

DID SOMEONE SAY SPEARMINT RHINO?!?!?!?!

haha, been there a couple times. Know that it's EXPENSIVE but fun. The women are stunning and there are plenty of them. A lot of your regular, dime-a-dozen platinum blondes but they are fun and know what they're doing. Some of them are fascinating too if you strike up a conversation when they come sit with/on you. On the other hand, I met the most amazing, nerdy brunette dancer ever there. She was a blast. grin

The only thing I don't like about the Rhino is that (at least when I was there) they gave dances right at your table. To get them in a private booth in the back you had to pay AT LEAST the 3 dance/$100 minimum. That adds up quick so be careful.

The only thing I don't like about the Rhino is that (at least when I was there) they gave dances right at your table. To get them in a private booth in the back you had to pay AT LEAST the 3 dance/$100 minimum. That adds up quick so be careful.

Sounds very much like Sapphire. @ the table and if you want the VIP/private room $$$

There's some delight in ale and wine,
And some in girls with ankles fine,
But my delight, yes, always mine,
Is to dance with Jak o' the Shadows.

It doesn't take a lot to get free rooms in Vegas. I go 2-3 times a year, spend a few K and I never pay for a room. Always comped with food as well. Just use the card.

If you think my opinion is idiotic, re-read yours.
Dont worry I will give my opinion anyways.
The PvP MMO is NOT a "niche" market, Mythic is just a "niche" company.

Yeah. Its fairly typical of most of the strip joints there.

Almost forgot, if you want a great steak dinner, you can't beat the Golden Steer. Classic old school Vegas joint, just don't be put off by the outside appearance.
