Well it's common knowledge that NASA airbrushes or has airbrushed many of the photos it has released from Mars and the moon so it wouldn't surprise me if they were able to do something like that. This video I found interesting but I have no idea who this guy even is. I just thought his theory was wild and interesting.

Mainstream science:
1) Runs experiments to confirm hypothesis. Other scientists are able to rerun the experiments to confirm the results or come up with other experiments that help to confirm the hypothesis is other ways.
2) Figures out ways the hypothesis can be proven false.
3) Makes predictions that can come true as more data comes in.
4) Alters theories as new evidence comes in.

Mainstream science isn't deliberately hiding anything. But it isn't enough just to come up with a new idea to challenge it. Like in business, ideas are easy to come up with. People come up with all sorts of ideas every day; the issue is always in the execution of the ideas and not simply just dreaming about them. For mainstream science, you need to at least come up with plans of how your idea could be proven to even think of being able to attract research money.

However skimming trough the list , a lot of it is biology related. I can see why people 100 years ago may not have the tools to support the theory.

"Mainstream" science loves it when someone whackjob comes up with a brand new way of looking at things... provided that whackjob's evidence is solid, or at the very least the whackjob has Done The Math Correctly.

I can give you the perfect example.

There was this surfer dude sitting on a beach. He lived out of his van with his girlfriend. He did not nor had he ever had a steady job. He was not affiliated with any corporation or university. He had never published any kind of scientific paper - ever.

He surfed all day, modded-all-night, and in his spare time or when the surfing sucked?

He played around with particle physics.

He managed to come up with a brilliant idea. An out-there, totally wild idea that directly contradicted "mainstream science".

Better: He Did It Right ... and ... He Did The Math.

When he had his idea to the point he couldn't take it any further on his own he published his little paper in an very obscure and little read, yet respected, scientific journal.

Perhaps you've heard of him?
