Currently using a Logitech G930 wireless headset. Looking to upgrade to something better (using a soundcard rather than USB legacy drivers). Don't want to spent >$200. Whatchoo recommend?

Check out http://www.turtlebeach.com/ . They have a number of headsets where you can turn down the game's ambient noise or music separately from the voice chat.

i had a turtlebeach and it was great. but it broke and i wanted a usb headset so i could keep voices from coming out of my speakers too. so i bought a steel series siberia v2 usb one. it's great. sound isn't as good as my turtle beach one was but i don't care since i only play voice through it.
