We may not agree with how the board shutdown was managed, but we've done what we could to preserve some of its history in lieu of that.

	I ended taking the older one apart and sticking it in the tower. I"m tempted to void the warranty on the new one and stick it in the tower as well. This is still taking forever.. -----signature----- (none)

Even if two drives shared the bus and cut the speed in half, that would still be 2mb/s on the slowest USB bus available. Even USB 2.0 should be massively faster.
