Kentucky Fried /Meltdown

So me and the wife pulled into KFC tonight because I didn't feel like cooking. There is a red truck in front of us in line and before long he lays on the old horn.
hhhoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
I guess he didn't think the people in front of him were quite quick enough. Pretty quick he backs up and leaves the line.
When we get around the corner there is a minor "traffic jam". Old dude has blocked the window line and is cutting off the person that was ordering. After a bit a gal gets out of the car and walks up to the window to explain that they had an order but that the psycho had cut them off.
I can see that the guy is in some sort of /meltdown and wait to see if he gets out of the truck so I know if I am going to have to get out of OUR car, lol.
Pretty quick it's  guy's turn. All I can here is ARGLEBARGLE GDMMIT ARGLE CHICKEN ARGLE.
/didn't think to video the event because I thought he was going to turn into a problem.
When I got to the window I asked the kid working if I too could have some of the crack-laced chicken that the nut job in front was wanting, lol.

Yes. His kids watched him die.
It's not about fear. It's about brains and responsibility to your loved ones. Last I checked being a former cop doesn't make you bulletproof. There are lot of ways to handle a situation that don't include leading with your face.

How many of those ways can prevent the lady from being seriously injured or killed right then?
There are situations where you are either going to intervene or you are going to let whatever you are witnessing happen.
Friar being a former cop leads me to assume he's the type who doesn't want bad things to happen to innocent people, and he also has training that most, if not all, of the other people witnessing that event don't.
If anyone was going to stop in then and there it was going to be him.
I don't fault anyone for choosing to intervene and I don't fault anyone for staying our of it. In the end you have to pick what you're comfortable living with.
