Metallica only had so much balls and creativity, then they ran out. The self-titled album was the last decent one. Now they're just paying lip service to old fans who don't understand better.

One of Metallica's best albums was made without Cliff. It was inspired by his death, no doubt, but And Justice For All was a great album and easily the hardest one they put out - without Burton. The Lou Reed song is terrible. My nomination: Halestorm - I Get Off Lzzy Hale

Total disagree. And Justice For All was a hint that all was not going to be the same. The previous 3 albums were nearly perfect, AJFA had a few very good songs and the rest was mediocre. Ride The Lightning was a harder album too. And then came the black album and it was all over. It was like all the previous stuff was being played at 45, and the black album was at 33. Whatever thrash they had, was gone.

it was over when they released their first video. the sell out was clear and obvious. the only good song to come out of justice wasnt even on the album, it was on their single.
