On CNN tonight, House minority leader Nancy Pelosi, D-San Francisco, made what most political observers say is a pretty safe prediction: the Newt will never sit in the Oval Office.
When pondering Pelosi’s cryptic line, “There’s something I know,†recall that Pelosi sat on the House Ethics Committee when it reprimanded Gingrich in a 7-1 vote, which included a 3-1 vote by the committee’s Republicans. Pelosi pointed out this history weeks ago, while Mitt Romney is just taking it up now.
Gingrich was the only House Speaker ever reprimanded by the committee and was fined $300,000. That would buy a lot at Tiffany’s.

But Tuesday’s report in the Washington Post that he will soon have to report another large revolving line of credit to Tiffany and Co. may have been especially cruel.
The reason: Gingrich misunderstood the financial disclosure rules for presidential candidates and mistakenly believed it would never have to become public, according to three current and former campaign advisers.
The advisers, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said Gingrich had purchased jewelry from Tiffany & Co, for years and long had a regular interest-free line of credit with the upscale jewelry store.
That line of credit ballooned late last year to between $500,000 and $1 million when he bought his wife, Callista, a diamond necklace, the advisers said.
When lots of people struggle to even make the interest payments on their loans/motages/credit, having a million dollar interest free credit line looks bad.

The fact that the Indiana governor praised Obama for his family values during a very public and national audience is a clear slap in the face of Newt.
