I will just say that it is to Santorum's fortune that you cannot hurt people thru the internet. What a self absorbed shitbird of the lowest order.

CNN declared him the winner? Really? They are worse than I remember from the last time I read them, last millennium. It was debatable who won depending on your preference and positions, as the other three did reasonably well, however Santorum came across as a petty whining vagina. I was pleased to see Ron Paul get more speaking time. He has some good positions and does well going into uncomfortable territory, but he would benefit greatly by getting a speaking coach. He needs to end his points with ooomph and stop running on like a 76 year old Ford engine. I was impressed with how Newt handled the personal stuff. I don't think a better job could have been done.

Moderator: Would you help transitioning servicemen coming home from war if it meant expanding any government? Paul: You know after WW2 the govt didnt do anything and we all did alright. Newt: What about the GI bill? This is a government program which is a cornerstone piece of social legislation. [Paul is an automoton. He runs questions through his consistent position algorithm and spits out answers, while potentially inaccurate, he is consistent] Paul gets to argue: I am factually consistent. Whether he is consistently correct or wrongheaded must be determined on each situation.

Not just the GI Bill... After WW2 is when the government got into the 30 year mortgage thing to help returning service members buy a house, which is what kicked off the whole housing bubble. Once 30 year mortgages were available for service members, they quickly became the norm for everyone... Effing Ron Paul is such a dumbass...

REASON is used incorrectly here. There are almost limitless reasons. Ron Paul doesnt give those reasons any value. He could have said as much, instead he chose to try to fib about past historical events. The mythical ron paul that his supporters pretend exists gives direct answers....the actual ron paul tries to confuse people with misdirections. I suspect most of his followers would have just nodded their heads at that historical revision and not thought twice about it.
Doesnt seem like a gotcha. Pretty basic question, Paul was just unable to give any reasoning.

I agree Loon. Ron Paul is solid on most things but he lacks the zing to get that across as crisply as he could. I know age has some to do with it but he lacks a clear off switch. A speaking coach would work wonders on him.

Everyone is so used to Ron Paul being spot on and accurate, that when he slips up just once (no matter how small or insignificant) it makes the National Headlines. That's the kind of awesomeness we need leading this Great Nation! Ron Paul is soo effing awesome, a candidate we all have to support and get into the White House to Save America! Ron Paul 2012!

That's always true. Most RWN primary voters take so much time to type cnn.com into their web browser that they forget what they were tpying before they get to the end of it.

This is the main thrust of his ideology and he doesnt have that stuff down? After hes been running for office for 30 years and runnign for president for almost as long?

Seriously, what kind of party puts forth these guys as the only choice? And Obama is running unchallenged? He was that good for the Dems money handlers? I do not see it. I think it is cable TV. Ever since the country could watch the same crap we have had poorer choices. Hillary!! was our last hope. But, after voting for McCain many times over the years, part of me wonders where we'd be with him too.

Exactly Elder. That has continued to be my biggest complaint. It takes a serious numbnut to gripe about Obama for 3 years as being terrible, decide to not have the party challenge him, declare the opposing party's candidates as worse than terrible, and then declare that you are proudly sticking with terrible this year.

It was a stupid question; almost as stupid as the answer. The one thing the government is for is security. Wars forced the draft on the nation. Providing a leg up for those lost years is hardly an expansion of government. The program worked to the good of the nation so it was kept even after the end of the draft. Service men or woman have earned a maturity that lets them excel in a college environment. What was a mistake was the following that programs for those who never earned anything; for political gain.

The Fifties after the war was the peak of US power and influence compared to the rest of the civilized world and the GI bill and other things made it possible for more americans to get homes. Also there are good paying manufacturing jobs for many, many families to live on. It was the good ole days

So, what strategy shall I use when my ex wife attacks me for wanting an open marriage? This is designed to attck any support Newt might have with the evangelicals. Newt went on the offensive with semantics. After the debate was over his words were very transparent. Note the evangelicals are the 500 pound gorilla in the Republicans living room. The issue is not whether Newt can be manipulated by pussy. Almost all men can be manipulated by pussy in some way. The evangelicals must choose between God and Satan (Newt or Mitt) on this issue. It will be interesting to watch the evangelicals vote. Their belief system is an either -or world. If Newt can bring them into the fold, then he is a formidable candidate. If he alienates then too much then he is not going to be the top man.

We are different and the same. Newt and Paul are probably your best educated candidates. We may share an enthusiasm for new learning. Part of this new learning is critically questioning evolutionary psychology and monogamy. Here we are both trail blazers. I would not condemn Clinton for getting a blow job while I was banging a mistress myself. But, I am not a politician. There is the big difference. He must lie to live his life. I am free to discuss my ideas on relationships with any woman without losing my job. However, evangelicals are not free to choose. They must follow their narrow code of conduct. This vote will be historically important.

Cheating, betraying a person you have pledged yourself to is crossing a boundary. However, it is a very normal human thing to do. Controversial evolutionary psychologists would argue multiple sex partners is more human than animal. Thus the person is not acting like an animal but a human.
