Depends on what you want.
If you're just looking for sex lie all you want.
If you want any sort of substantial relationship don't lie. It will come to light eventually. It's not worth the the risk.
Plus if you want someone to really love you they have to know you. If you lie to someone you'll never truly be loved by them.

For some strange reason, many women get turned on by the thought of a man who hasn't had sex in a long time. Most women have no idea what they want in a man, so they list things they think they should want. All you can do is be you and hope for the best. Or you can try to be someone else and hope for the best. Depends upon the woman and what you are looking for. Some women really do like to be treated like crap and don't feel comfortable unless someone is lying to them about everything. So you can go with that. Might work.
The tricky part is a small percentage of women actually do know what they want, and it's that small percentage that you really want to get to know. They tend to be smart and savvy, and will bust you in a lie in about 8 seconds even if it's something trivial.

Theres no reason to lie to anyone unless you're afraid of yourself.
If you lie, exam your reasons. Was it a gut, immediate reaction (as to an accusation)? This is normal but maybe it indicates you respond too fast.
Are you lying because you're ashamed? Why did you act that way in the first place? If you would act that way again, stand up for yourself: "I acted on the information I had and maybe it turned out wrong, but we learned and moved on."
When it comes down to it, a lie is about the person speaking it. Rarely are we justified in lying to protect someone, because we rob that person of a legitimate choice. If you lie to save a relationship, it has already ended because you know either she can't be trusted with the truth, or you messed up so bad that you betrayed the partnership.
"Why are you friends with a stripper?" Should not be responded to as, "she's not a stripper!" Or "she's not my friend!"
Try, "because I am worthy of her friendship. Because I choose my friends on the content of their chaacter, not the color of-- erm, the profession they choose!"
At the end of the day, anyone not worth telling the truth to is not worth dishonoring yourself over.

I've dated more in the last couple of years than I ever have in my life. I'm not great looking, not in good shape, and I'm not in great health and it shows.....but have no problem getting dates. It's all about asking them out. If you ask out 5 women....1 of them is going to say yes. Humor works wonders, self deprecating (to a limit) is probably the best. Just have to keep trying man.
Don't be looking for love in every date, see what happens. Sometimes it's just really nice to have dinner with an intelligent woman and listen to them talk. Of course, sometimes it's really nice to drive around a stripper wanna be while you do belly shots off each other. Surprising thing is, both types like to be asked out if you aren't a total creep about it. Listening to them talk is the most important thing you can do to get a second date, or more, from them. Look at it this way, you probably don't want to talk about your life anyway....so ask them about theirs.
Back to the subject, women lie just about as often as men do which is too often. And yes some women aren't comfortable unless you are being a prick.

How about you fell on hard times and moved back in with your father until he passed. Yeah you might have issues but nothing so severe that felt you needed to get help for. After your father passed you went got out there with a new outlook on life and are just having fun while you reorder your life by focusing on your career and trying to find someone to love.
Sounds like the truth to me.

That is exactly what happened. My short term girlfriend was shocked when she found out I had to live with my father. Even she couldnt handle the truth

Lots of people move back to help take care of sick parents. I myself moved to New York partly to help my 96 year old grandpa, who stubbornly refused to let me live on his empty 3rd floor (he owns the brownstone and used to rent that floor out). Now I live an hour away by train and he complains he doesn't see me as much as he wants. I don't see any shame in living with family... especially since you're on your own now.

Yeahhhh... gonna have to call BS on this one. And only because I am the same way and I understand. The difference in sexiness to me between some passive little nice girl vs. an aggressive hot party girl who is most likely going to sleep with all my friends, is too great to underestimate.

When someone asks me a question I don't feel like answering..I ask them "why do you need to know that?" and that usually ends that topic one way or another. It's magic.

Someone who is in full health but refuses to work, people that would rather steal than find employment. People that buy stuff with no intensions of ever paying for it. Adults that steal from their parents and grandparents.
Whats the shame in moving in with a family member? That does not make you a loser. In these times many many people live with family members. In some cultures it's normal and loved.
When I say you are not a loser, I truly believe this, please have a little faith in yourself.
