I went with a partnership because it's only adequate way to express caring so deeply for and trusting someone so much that you share everything with them.

I'll wax pathetically emo on this, but Death Cab kinda hit the nail on the head 'Love is watching someone die'.  Parternership is the only way to describe that level of devotion.

It includes all the fun stuff too, of course happy

Thought about that Man, but figured it would manifest itself somehow, hopefully (for convenience) as one of the options listed.

Yeah, great scene.

The line I quoted is cribbed from a Death Cab for Cutie Song called What Sara Said. It's whiny emo music, but it is an incredibly poignant song imo. And expresses the same sentiment that Robin Williams expresses in Will Hunting

A partnership I'd say. If a relationship is only based on passion and lust you can bet that will fall apart in a year, maybe two at most

Some people are addicted to that sort of stuff, ie new relationships and new "flings" that are oh so exciting but oh so limited and hollow

I vote other. If you had the choice "temporary" that would be my vote.
At some point, I think the romance always ends..be it 1 year or 25 years later.
I'm not saying the love ends, it is just altered. People change. Feelings change.

Romance is multidimensional. There is a biological dimension, we are programmed to procreate. This raises an interesting question: Are 100% homosexuals programmed to procreate?

I think it starts out as a chemical reaction/lust type and matures into the partnership/"I choose to do loving things for you because I care about your happiness" type. So I chose ideal of ideals.

It's where two people decide to ignore all the crap they hate about each other, and concentrate on having lots of sex, or later in the relationship, buying lots of crap.... so they wont have to think about how much they would rather be with someone else about half the time.

Have you seen them live? They're great! I didn't really know them but then I saw them do an acoustic set as one of the early bands in one of those epic mega shows. I went out and bought one of their CDs the next day. I play it about as often as I play anyone else these days. Music, vocals, lyrics... they're very good at all three.
