Federal prosecutors in Maryland say 24-year-old Craig Baxam of Laurel was arrested Friday. He is charged with attempting to provide support to al-Shabab by trying to join its ranks. Prosecutors say Baxam left the United States in December and was arrested by Kenyan authorities, who suspected he was traveling to Somalia to join al-Shabab. He was interviewed by FBI agents in Kenya and arrested on his return to Maryland. Baxam faces a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison if convicted, followed by three years of supervised release. If he served only 4 years active duty from 2007 to 2011 then yes he is. He still has a military ID and is in reserve status. It's called the Individual Ready Reserve. He does not belong to a unit and does not train but he must be ready to be recalled to active duty. 	Umm former service members are traitors if they join any group that is actively fighting the US. Not just former service members either. -----signature----- Another word for expensive is successful.
