that right there tells me they broke a line of code or something and its not agreeing with my computer/drivers or something.
the two planets that have landscapes that are basically featureless run at 30-45 fps which is still just a 3rd of what I had before but at least I was able run around and kill stuff.
I think its because when I logged it takes like 30 seconds for textures to load and I can see everything, basically I think the game engine is forcing my computer to render all objects even the crap that you normally dont see.

I still got 11 days of playtime, I am hoping and praying they fix it.
I love Star Wars.
I log in to check ticket status and since the server is low pop right now it actually let me travel around instead of crashing to desktop every time I tried to load into a new planet.

BioWare today announced that they'll be using Simutronic's "HeroEngine" for Star Wars: The Old Republic, a game engine that's designed specifically for MMO development.
As described by Simutronics, the HeroEngine allows for "real-time" development, allowing teams in different locations to build the world and play the game live on a server simultaneously. The engine allows for updates and changes to take effect instantaneously, which is intended to reduce the long development cycles that massively multiplayer games tend to require.
"Our goal was to partner with a platform developer that knows online gaming and virtual world development, and the team at Simutronics has an excellent track record in that respect," said Gordon Walton, co-studio director at BioWare. "Their HeroEngine was specifically created for building MMOGs and it allows for a great amount of flexibility in the way our entire team collaborates."
There's still no firm release date for Star Wars: The Old Republic, but presumably (and hopefully) it'll be ready to ship some time before the end of 2009. That does, though, make us wonder -- if BioWare wasn't using an engine that purportedly speeds up MMO development time, would the wait for The Old Republic have extended even longer?

i have a gigabyte 560 with a born on date of oct 2011
its not hardware specific too many users are posting the same issue on the official customer service forums.

WORKAROUND FOR NVIDIA CARDS:
-Download Nvidia Inspector
-Select the star wars: old republic profile
-Change the "FPS Limit" under "common" to 60, or any FPS of your choice.
has something to do with vsync
