Are there large battles or just 8v8? That said, I wouldn't bother PvPing in a MMO that wasn't explicitly designed with endgame PvP in mind.

It is some of the worst PVP I have ever played in an MMO. Some of the design decisions are so bad it's truly amazing. It makes WAR look like a professional game designed by people who knew what they were doing.
For instance, they create a BG that is effectively 90% of the PVP experience for anyone on the sith side...and then create a class that gets every single tool in the book to dominate that BG, bar none. Let's create a BG that is all about control and movement and then give one class chainable knockbacks, charges, stuns, snares, sprints AND stealth.
And then let's also make that class use force, a power type that can't be stopped by any of the immunity buttons classes get. So not only can they ping you everywhere all over the map, you can't even go immune to it for 3 seconds every two minutes. But they, on the other hand, can go 100% immunte to all tech attacks using their ability. So there is literally no way to avoid their CC, which they have 5x as much as any other class. Plus the same DPS and survivability.
It's really funny getting into a huttball match these days and seeing the opposing team is literally 7/8 sith inquisitors.

I was in a hutball over the weekend on my level 11 Jedi Sent and the highest level on our team was 18. We were up against a full team of 40+, mostly SI's. We had our asses kicked so hard it wasn't funny. That is one instance where the bolster system fails because of the disparity of abilities.

The bolster system is just one more idea that sounded good prior to release. PvP is Fubar.
In the end we have a game that one May run through it 8 times for the stories, Or Not. It is a good solo rpg that has some options to boost the HP for group quests. I really do not think the stories can hold me for 8 runs through the same lands with the same side quests.
Still, it is worth the bucks because some of the stories and quests are a hoot!
Who knows they might even add something interesting. I am not holding my breath but they could.

I also like how in their "open pvp zone" you get zero rewards for actually pvping and massive rewards for trading objectives. It's like they learned NOTHING from WAR and even doubled down on the system by making trading the ONLY way to advance.
P.S. If they were going to nerf SIs soon they should have already done it. It's been apparent for months in the beta that they are ridiculously overpowered, particularly in PVP, and particularly in huttball. They will get a nerf but probably not for at least a month, in which time they'll all have full PVP kit.

It's just really noobish is what it is. If they had even sat down with some serious PVPers for an hour and explained the system they were creating they would have figured out what a bad system it was in a lot of ways.
In fact, they gave the game to a bunch of serious pvpers for MONTHS, got detailed feedback, and then did nothing to address that feedback at all. So you have a game where people get rewarded for making their team lose in the warzones and for objective swapping in their "world pvp" zones.

Huttball is actually an awesome game. The problem is the classes are terribly balanced for it and you need to have people on your team who know what they are doing to make it fun.
I've had some truly epic huttball games when I got put with a good premade and the other team was also a good premade.
But for everyone one of those there are three where you're facing 8 level 40+ SIs and your team has 8 sub-30 agents, bounty hunters and sith warriors who can't even begin to compete with the ridiculous overpoweredness of high level SIs at huttball.

The PVP daily is worth a ton of exp and cash too and it usually only takes 2 games to get a win. Although as we have described it isn't very fun a lot of the time.

Yes, that's because of the false believe that if you make a game the way people want they will be happy.
No, they won't! The point of a game is to have exactly the opposite. Take away what people want and make them work for it.
This is just one instance of that. Downtime after a PvP death sucks. Remove that. Big mostly empty PvP zones suck. Make them tiny. Getting your butt handed to you by an enemy zerg sucks. Make all PvP small scale. Needing a dedicated healing (ability x) class for your group sucks. Give everyone self heals (ability x).
The result is bland and pointless battle ground PvP of today.

"nerf" is just a word min/maxers invented when any game they found a serious imbalance in was adjusted in some aspect.
I don't care if they rebalance and tweak classes 30 times as long as the game moves in the right direction.
