Yeah got a "you have certified mail but weren't here to sign for it" card from the Postman today... sender was the IRS. I about shat myself, lol. Was just a misunderstanding though and my accountant was already on top of it, whew.

I just cleared up my IRS woes yesterday and it had been ongoing for MANY months. I wish I had an accountant to deal with it but I eventually got it all straightened out. The IRS never gives you the benefit of the doubt. With every single correspondence they say, "Just go ahead and pay us the money we say you owe us. Otherwise we will collect interest off it and charge you more in penalties."

Yup, gotta love it. With the businesses and other crap I deal with I pretty much require an accountant. I'm just lucky mine is actually a good friend of mine with the same values and basic mindset as me so we click pretty well and I'm confident he'll look out for me.

yeah, I could have gotten out of owing them around $500, but in the end I just paid it because they made it such a PITA to fight it.
