Subject: Globetrotters - please help me identify places
As a child my family and I lived overseas and we travelled to many places in Europe. Unfortunately, most everyone who ever came on those trips with us is now deceased and I'm having a very rough time trying to identify where some of the places may have been.

We lived in Italy, travelled to Luxembourg, Lichtenstein, West Germany, Switzerland, France, Spain, Portugal, Austria, Denmark, Netherlands, Czechoslovakia, and so on.

If you can recognize or even offer a suggestion regarding where these may have been taken, it would be a huge boon. They aren't all from the same location, but I've tried to scan some of the pictures that may be more easily identifiable from various photo albums thinking if I can just get a city/village for one, I can go from there.

And I tried the Google image search, this was one of the closest matches to the Posiedon fountain LoL

Am I correct in thinking that all of these photos you yourself uploaded from a family album or such?

P.S it looks like you've been to Versailles or whatever palace it was modeled after.

The sphinx could be from the Belvedere Gardens in Vienna.

And the Athena statue in front of the big building is from the Parliament Building in Vienna as well.

EDIT: This is a little like playing Carmen Sandiego!

Man, I've been to most countries in Europe and I thought I knew about most famous places.

But I never heard we had dedicated "arse virginity ritual grottos", they must be booked for American tourists, kinda been off the radar for most people here.

peace

Not disputing your info, was just a bit surprised.

The first looks like it could either be Versailles or Schönbrunn.

Thank you Azure but I checked Versailles and there is a fountain which isn't present in the picture and there is no domed building to the side of Versailles. Schönbrunn looked right, complete with the domed building, except when I counted the windows. Schönbrunn has 7 large windows across the front and the palace (?) in my picture only has 3.
I think that first picture is another part of the Belvedere Gardens in Vienna, it has the right layout and windows and everything.

The ones I am still needing help with are:
