Then after an Oatmeal Cranberry and Double Chocolate,
it made my new vagina spontaneously sing the Trolololo Song in an elevator.

I like things to be clean in case someone stops by to visit (like mom).
Also, if I decide to go shopping or something, I hate coming home to a dirty house.

Murron - hehe. Still have cookies! We are being good and only having one here or there so we can savor them as long as possible.

Screw that. I hate cleaning with a passion. There is a minimum standard of cleanliness (I don't grow science projects on the dishes around the sink or anything) but I don't generally go nuts beyond that. Nesting? Never afflicted with that. I am going to have to step it up a bit, though, with the n00b coming along in 4 months!

because it IS relaxing to look at a clean house. it's mentally relaxing because you're not thinking, "I want to sit and read but first I have to pick up all these toys, fold and put away this laundry, argh the rug is a disgrace and I need to vacuum, and btw look at the state of that counter, totally cluttered and needs to be wiped, etc., etc."

it's just like a breath of fresh air when the house is clean.

I just wish it would stay that way. :/ I get sick to death of hen-pecking the kids not to leave toothpaste everywhere, to pick up their toys, to eat at the table and not drop crumbs everywhere, not to sling their stuff onto the floor and leave it there, omg who dumped all the crayons out of the box, broke half of them, and left them all over the floor, argh who left this pee all over the toilet, every time I go in there I have to wipe off the toilet because y'all are like a bunch of animals marking your territory, and why does my husband have to get out a separate glass every time he pours himself a Coke and WHY does he leave each and every one out all over the house instead of putting them in the dishwasher, seriously it takes like five seconds, and people please put your dirty clothes IN the hamper and not on the floor next to it, and who caused an avalanche in the linen cabinet and didn't clean it up...

At least your husband leaves them IN the house, my son's dad would take a glass with him up to his parent's house, or his sister's house, leave it there, and eventually there were NO glasses in the house, so I would have to go around to all his hang outs and collect my glasses.

one of the great mysteries of the world... his sister and parents all lived within walking distance, but I've seen him have glasses in the car too, and leave them wherever he finishes his drink. He doesn't seem to understand the logic of travel mugs either, he always takes glassware. After a while I stocked up on those cheap plastic outdoor glasses they have for summertime at Target, and hid my good ones in the back of the cabinet.

That's me. I made a deal with the husband when we moved in together that I would cook, grocery shop, and pay the bills and he would clean. I would've done his laundry, but after his mother constantly ruined stuff with bleach, he doesn't trust anyone else to do it. I'm fairly sure he got the short end of the stick on this deal, but that's ok with me. I detest cleaning.
