The series will end when he dies with three books unfinished.

Does he have an expected publish date yet for the next book? Sometime in 2017?

His most recent book was a boring pile of crap that took him forever to write. I expect the next one will be worse and take even longer.

it's pretty rude when an author dies before finishing a series

they should pass a law against it with really stiff penalties...

The best thing that happened to Wheel of Time was Jordan dying, Sanderson is popping out much better books than Jordan's last few

They are great. There are 5 books so far, and he is only making two more. the fifth one is awesome, but it was released this year and at the end of the fourth there is a little "look out for the next book coming, it will be in 2006!" Then they release it five years later

Unless he does some serious editing down, there won't only be 7 books. The original thought and timeline was to have 7 books, and then book 4 got split into 2 (4 and 5).

And the first 3 books were some of the best writing that fantasy has ever seen. The last 2 were bad, with the latest pretty much being a big steamy pile of poo.

Couldn't disagree more. I liked the first one the best, but the series keeps getting better and better

gah the last book was practically worthless...1000 pages of Daenerys going "Oh woe is little ol' me, whatever shall I do? I know, I'll screw Daario!", Tyrion being drunk and miserable and bounced around from location to location, Jon Snow blundering around like a complete idiot, and Arya and Bran training to do...dunno but probably something damn useless.

all I can say is, the next book better start having some resolution.

About to finish up book 5. Out of the series I loved the first 3 books, disliked book 4 and am meh about book 5. He got too wrapped up in lesser characters in the 5th me thinks.

I loved the first 3, have but haven't started the 4th and am now so sick of his 5 year between books that I'm giving up until the series is finished. Which will most likely never happen :/

Im hoping Harry Dresden's books come out regularly! Love that series so far!
