We may not agree with how the board shutdown was managed, but we've done what we could to preserve some of its history in lieu of that.

There was the Thailand flood and maybe WD needed to do this because they were severely impacted. Seagate on the other hand wasn't impacted at all. There is also less competition. Seagate and Western Digital have pretty much bought up all the smaller hard drive manufactures. Seagate snagged Maxtor a few years back. And just months ago Western Digital acquired Hitachi. We pretty much have a hard drive duopoly now. -----signature----- (none)
