Welcome to the Vault Network
forum archive.
This is not a complete archive, time didn't allot us the
opportunity to properly backup the majority of the boards
deemed "expendable". Most boards on this list have at least
20-40 pages archived (non-logged in pages, 15 topics per
page).
Popular boards may have as many as 250 pages archived at 50
topics per page, while others deemed of historical
signifigance may be archived in their entirety.
We may not agree with how the board shutdown was managed, but
we've done what we could to preserve some of its history in
lieu of that.

So, for instance, Alinco and MiniPK...
When I have them up my FPS goes down considerably...
Thoughts?

Thats the downside of decal views.
Disable decal view rendering and use only plugins that use VVS, like Virindi Tanks bundle, which includes GoArrow VVS and SSSort VVS.
Also, use Mag-Tools.

ToD upgraded the version of DirectX that was used, so it's entirely likely it wasn't an issue before then.
AC+ doesn't use Decal views either btw.. It's got it's own view system I had been working on since long before VVS was around.

Nah, I can't really think of when it actually started happening..

when seeking the help of the forum, it is generally a good idea to also post a decal export.

In this particular case it's rather pointless because it's such a well known issue. So much so that it is the reason most modern plugins are moving away from Decal views, be it through VVS, huds, their own view system, or whatever.

This is true, but it could also be because he's got out of date drivers, or some really intensive plugins.

In many cases, older drivers are actually faster at this, because the technique used to draw is not used in any modern games but was used in some old ones.
