Are a flashback to WOTLK. Not overwhelmingly difficult but challenging and fun. I was able to get into them a few times yesterday with crap gear too.

I actually love the progression through each.

I have gone through the dungeons once, and here are my initial impressions. Some of the bosses seemed really easy, and the only wipes we had were because of really stupid mistakes (not clearing trash, healer {aka me} standing in shit way, way too long). Even then it was only two wipes between the three dungeons.

I thought the challenge level was much lower than what the troll heroics were when they were first released. Especially the trash, both in relative difficulty and the amount. We regularly had a hunter freeze a mob before a pull, and if there was something that needed killing asap it was marked. However it honestly seemed like we could of progressed even if we had not done so. This was with a party of around ilevel 368 on average so if your tank is geared less plan accordingly.

While the first two dungeons have a certain flair and epicness to them (for a five man), I wasn't very impressed with the design of the third part. Basically you are just huffing it through Dragonblight, killing a couple of (weak) bosses along the way until you get to Wyrmrest Temple. The final boss was a challenging fight without being too crazy.

I liked how they had a few quests per dungeon, with most of them giving you a choice of ilevel 378 loot.

I would give all three of them, rated together, 4 out of 5.

On a side note, I noticed that chaos orbs are now tradeable . . after I completed the third dungeon lol.

Unless these idiots decide to allow us to get 1 less than the high tier armor through Dungeon Points, I have no interest in playing this game again.

I survived to the end and got nothing out of it, but hey.

I don't understand any of this thread. Are they offering raid level gear to 5-mans now?

ilvl 378 gear from the 5 mans and justice vendor now

I definitely enjoyed the Murazond fight, and running around with Illidan. I agree, they weren't overly complicated after I figured out what the bosses moves were. The pugs I tanked it for yesterday were pretty bad too(2 @ ~10k dps).

I agree that the new 5mans are much better designed than the original instances for this expansion (including ZA/ZG).

Ran the first 2 last night and they were quick and relatively easy.

As for the gear -

The new 5 Mans drop iLvl 378 gear, so comparable to 4.2 Raid Gear.

The Valor Point gear is iLvl 397, which is on par with regular 4.3 raid gear, one step down from the Heroic Raid gear (iLvl 410 & 416 from final boss). The LFR drops iLvl 384 gear.

The only thing you can't buy with Valor Points are the Tier pieces. I'm not happy about this, always liked the ability to get the 2pc bonus from valor points, but with the LFR tool, getting a couple of pieces might not be too bad (also counting BH runs).

Pretty sure the only reason for the change is they just want people to make use of the LFR tool.

Yeah 378 gear from the dungeons and justice vendor. The other vendor has 391 gear too.

I just plain had fun. I havent been able to run a dungeon like that in as little time since WoTLK. It was enjoyable and not stupidly easy either and a single dungeon didnt take all night to do. Fun stuff.

No CD on my shaman's chain lightning is freaking beautiful too =P

they essentially are letting you do this through the new looking for raid.. you can essentially faceroll through the loooking for raid and get the new "raid finder" tier which is 384 ilvl. the normal raid is 397 and heroic i'm unsure but i know it's over 400 ilvl.

i literally did the looking for raid and in an hour had 3 bosses down then logged tonight i logged on, joined looking for raid got in on the last boss, wiped. then some people quit, some jackass pulled just to wipe everyone, then we got a full group againa nd beat it no problems.

so with the new 5 mans and the new LFR you will see all the content and not have to put a lot of time into getting the gear.. and if you're upset your same piece of gear is slightly less than the raiders (384 vs 397) then i guess you have other issues. it's actually WAY easier putting together a 384 raid finder set than any other set in wow probably has been ever.

I did the LFR yesterday on a rogue alt I just hit 85 with. She's pretty much all 371 pvp gear with random boe 378s I bought her and the 397 daggers. Anyway; while I didn't do amazing, I didn't do bad either. I was holding just over 20k on bosses.

Long story short. This was pure pug. Our highest dps was 24k and I was steadily 3rd. So that tells you the damage requirement (seemingly easy). To clear the four bosses (LFR pure pug mind you) took us 46 minutes. That's faster than doing the 5mans has ever taken me pugging. It's definitely worth a look at those 'complaining' about not being able to get tier from valor points. It's more or less a 5 man level instance super zergable happy

Edit: And as a solo queued dps it took me 2 minutes to get into a group. Not the standard 30-45 I've been hitting
