Newegg.. Has failed me....

Well I bought Skyrim on Newegg during the $47.99 sale.. Which promised next day delivery so that it would arrive on 11/11/11...
They have failed. The package is currently sitting half way across the state after bouncing around entirely to much. The delivery date has been updated to 11/14. At this point I have said F*#( it and bought it on Steam for $59.99. Yes I am a bitchy gamer and I want my way. Lesson learned.. Newegg = PC Parts only.
I will refuse the package when it arrives on Monday.
EDIT.. My friends that bought it on Amazon got their copies today. Amazon got their shipments off faster.

And yeah, are you sure it was Newegg, or UPS? I am surprised Amazon was so quick, they usually take forever with the stuff I order.

amazon has release date delivery for preorders. it only costs $1 and if they fail to get it to you on the date, they generally give you a $5 gift card to use and your $1 back. (i've made them give me the dollar back both times they were a date late.) it's only happened to me twice since they started that shipping option and i get all of my games from them if i pre-order. i like steam and all but steam doesn't have a $20 gift card deal on most of the games i pre-order, like amazon.

same here  it's sitting half way across the country to be delivered 11/14
lots of people i know that did this just went to best buy or gamestop to buy the game and will return the newegg/amazon to wherever they bought the other one. i'm just waiting

You must not have amazon prime. Hell when I do 2 day shipping if it comes from Coffeyville I get it next day.

Prime is usually pretty awesome. I typically hold off and try to buy digital copies of things I want on release day though for just this reason.

No I was a fan of the 47.99 price vs the 59.99 price (which is in the op).. I just not willing to wait. So it will just be going back.

So why didn't you just download a pirate copy of it while waiting? Could have played the same day and paid the lower price.
Then when your game arrived, enter the game key to register it and done!.
