Ok so it was 17-3, I was a little off. Indy still blows, get used to the scene from the bottom of the division, that is where Indy will be living for the next several years.

We will always be here to kick some dirt on you while you are down happy j/k. If it makes you feel any better it wasnt a sweet victory for us this last weekend. That loss just about guarentees the Colts will draft Andrew Luck. If he is the next real deal then the Colts have another 15 years of dominance in them. I hope I am wrong on Luck.

not sure how all that is going to play out???

Manning just said that he is ok with the Colts drafting a QB...well, he would be the #1. so what would Manning want, i hear all the time of a trade, him being done forever...and a waiting period till the first of the year. one reason he isnt on the IR, is because the Colts want to see where he is when is cleared to throw...if they had him on IR, he wouldnt be able to practice..

not sure what to believe or how it is going to play out...but there already a lot of Luck jersey's at the games...its kind of a shocker!

It would be a surprise if he is as good as Manning. But I would not be surprised to see Manning traded if the Colts do end up getting Luck. It is hard to imagine them sitting Luck behind Manning for four years. I am not so certain Manning is the only missing peice for the Colts right now. I do not think the Colts would have won the AFC South even with Manning. One player, even one as great as Manning, cannot be the difference between winless and 12 wins. That is unthinkable. Last year they never really hit a stride. They only made the playoffs because the rest of the AFC South couldnt stop shooting themselves in the foot. It will be interesting to see how this all plays out in Indy. I honestly think if the Colts want to get back to their commitment to winning a superbowl with Manning before he retires then they should try to pull off a Hershel Walker type trade with the first overall pick in April. They could probably steal some real value for Andrew Luck. That is what scares me the most about Indy getting the first overall pick, there is a team *cough* Washington *cough* that is dumb enough to trade away half of this upcoming draft and half the following years draft for Luck.

I can see the Manning/Luck scenario playing out much like the Favre/Rodgers one...

I dont know if that is the best situation to be in for the Colts honestly. As I said, they are more than a QB away from being good again. They have many needs, the value they could get for trading the number 1 overall pick away or trading Manning away would be huge and could bring them help at several positions. If I was their GM it would be hard for me to not cash in on that value. And if the Colts have another down year next year with Manning how long would the fan base wait to see Luck. It seems like a very simple situation, but in reality is a complicated mess.

Exactly. Luck is going to be on a rookie five year contract. The Colts are going to want a couple of good years of watching him as the starter before deciding if they want to pay him an outrageous second contract. At most he sits out 1 to 2 season. This still interrupts Peyton Mannings plans to play another four seasons, and honestly drops Peytons trade value if they wait 2-3 seasons to trade him. The most logical sense is to either trade the first overall pick or trade Manning when his value is still fairly high.
