Subject: Thailand flooding causes hard drive prices to soar.
Prices of hard drives are soaring after a huge flood in Thailand has put thousands of factories under water, including Western Digital. Even now factories are still flooded and workers are using boats and jet skis to carry out parts that were stored in the upper levels of the factories. Seagate's factory was not flooded, but the overall supply shortage means everyone is raising their prices due to the demand.

This article below charts the price of a Samsung 1TB hard drive from a low of $50 up to $140 today.

I just looked up the 3TB WD hard drive I bought for $140 in July. It now costs $280.
