This is not a complete archive, time didn't allot us the
opportunity to properly backup the majority of the boards
deemed "expendable". Most boards on this list have at least
20-40 pages archived (non-logged in pages, 15 topics per
page).
Popular boards may have as many as 250 pages archived at 50
topics per page, while others deemed of historical
signifigance may be archived in their entirety.
We may not agree with how the board shutdown was managed, but
we've done what we could to preserve some of its history in
lieu of that.

I'm a bit bored with Wow and have been trying things to fill the time until the next patch OR SWTOR. I had been playing LOTRO, but I just tried DCUO last night. I'm not sure how long it will hold me, but so far I'm having fun. The gameplay is pretty smooth with voiceovers and responsive controls. Using your weapon skill is a more like a fight game (ala MortalKombat)--tap left mouse+hold left mouse+tap left mouse = 1 move. Then 5xtap left is another, etc etc. Powers work together--like one fire attack puts a target on fire, and another does damage to a target on fire while healing you for an amount. All power sets come with a DPS role + 1 other role (control, tank, or healing).
Anyway, just getting the word out, since I figure some of you are looking for something else to play at the moment. Can't beat the price... F2P includes all but 1 power set (the Green Lantern/Sinestro -- Light). Big download though -- 14 gig.

Played it when it first came out.
It had some cool features, but the gameplay was ass 
Doubt they changed it that dramatically.
The instance/mission things were possibly the most boring thing in the game. First time through some were kinda neat, then yawn.

I'm surprised you'd knock the gameplay. I've played COH and Champions Online--and this is by far the most responsive. The missions so far have been better as well, but I've only done a few so far.
My only complaint is they can't keep the server up. They got way more new players than they can handle.
I'm hoping this will keep me busy until 12/20 SWTOR. We'll see. Between playing both factions--and the various power sets and weapon specs, I'm hoping it will.

I downloaded the game to dink around with last week and this weekend as my wife was out of town and I had some extra gaming time.
It was interesting but it was really shocking when I logged in and got stuck in a 4000 person queue. It went fast but it was like wow, it has a queue.
The best part was that I played it with my daughter and she made a supergirl. She was Supergirl for halloween so made he a supergirl in pink like her costume and she played around with it. So that was fun.

Yeah, I'm still having fun with it. I think I'll get a month or two at least out of it given the various powersets, quest areas to check out (Gotham, Metropolis), PVE types (solo, duo dungeons, group dungeons, raids), and PVP options (2v2, group play, events, legend play). There are other things to do, too--like collections (reminds me of Rift artifacts), building costume sets, movement power timed challenges.
So far, I'm only in the teens with a 2 toons. Did the Villain Circe chain up through Raven--was pretty fun and had nice cut scenes and voice acting.
The first few days were very bad on server performance--Truly terrible, but by Saturday and all day yesterday it was stable. They posted that since Tuesday they increased the number of concurrent players by 1000%.
BTW, you can respec (powers and weapon abilities) at the Watchtower (Hero) / Hall of Doom (Villain) and also change between Pve/PvP--when you select one at character creation it doesn't put you on different servers but phases you differently.

got annoyed with character creator...finally got through it and played for a minute.
controls annoyed the hell out of me so stopped after that first corridor.
maybe i'll go back and change settings...if i can.
