We are holding a special this weekend in honor of the Battle of Moscow! This battle started the 2nd of October 1941 and ended the 7th of January 1942. The German forces launched an offensive named Operation Typhoon to try and take over the Moscow region. After months of struggle and defense, the German offensive was pushed back and surrounded.

The KV does get a bit easier matchups on average. But yeah, there is a reason why the KV-3 is going to be bumped up to Tier 7 in the future.

It really REALLY sucks getting through the BT-7 and A-20 to get there, but once you get the T-34 and the 57mm ZiS, it is quite a fun tank.

Those tanks aren't that hard to get past ,they are both fast tanks with a little armor for light.Suicide scouting and harassment are what you do...if you can get the scout reward very often, which both vehicles excel at you can rake in the exp fast.I think you have to stay logged into that vehicle for that type of reward though ...You can't log out of the battle until it is done.

If you dont move or shoot anything for entire time you get 0 xp.

You will get experience for:

* Damage you do to enemy tanks (major factor). You also get a small amount of experience for the overall damage your team does to the enemy.
* Critical damage to enemy tanks. This means directly damaging an enemy tank's module/crew. The difference in tier-levels between the tank is taken into account. The higher the tier-level of the tank you damage, the more experience you'll get.
* For spotting an enemy tank on the radar (only the first tank to spot each enemy gets the bonus). You will get more experience for discovering an SPG than for a regular tank.
* For lighting up an enemy tank while your allies damage it from beyond their range of vision (you get a bonus of 50% of the experience the damager causes - note: this bonus is divided between all tanks that can see the enemy at the time of damage). This means keeping the enemy in the team's radar because he is within your radio range.
* Kills -- Bonus experience for enemy tank kills (minor factor), only if you actually got the kill. The difference in tier-levels between the tanks is taken into account. The higher the level of the tank you damage/kill, the more experience you'll get. You gain minimal experience for killing a tank beyond the amount of damage done to kill it. Thus, killing tanks with 1% health will not give you much experience.
* Bonus experience for capturing enemy base. Applied only to the tanks in the enemy base circle, not the whole team, proportional to the time spent in the enemy base circle capturing it. That only applies if your team wins by Base Capture. NOTE: More tanks in the circle increases the capture-rate. Base capture-rate is roughly 1 pt per sec per tank (by my observation}. Base capture yields a bonus equal to the experience value of all the enemy tanks, divided among your team in proportion to the experience you gained vs the experience your team gained (if you got 10% of your teams total experience, then you’d get 10% of the base capture)[citation needed].
* Bonus experience for restarting the capture counter by damaging an enemy tank which is capturing your base. The amount is not very large, less than 100 exp.
* Close Combat -- shooting in some radius (up to about 200m) from the enemy and being in the radius of enemy fire. You don't get much (less than 100 exp), but it still influences your experience gain.
* Survival Bonus -- while there is a bonus for a tank's survival, it is very small.
* The more your team damages the enemy, the more experience each player on your team gets. Only damage to a killed enemy is taken in account. Coefficient is not that big, but its still experience.

• KV will be separated into KV-1 and KV-2.
Players who have a KV in their garage at the time of the revision will have it replaced with a KV-1. The KV’s crew will be trained for the KV-1.
Additionally players who have researched KV-2’s turret for KV will get a KV-2 with an extra garage slot and the KV-2 will be assigned a 100% crew.
Undistributed experience from KV can be transferred to either KV-2 or to KV-1 on demand.

Free xp can be spent on any tank regardless of tree. Tank-specific xp can only be used on the tank it is earned on unless you spend gold to convert it into free xp which you can then spend on any tank.

You have probably noticed this already, but in general the Lee is a bad tank. Firing limitations of a TD without the camo bonuses of a TD. The upgraded gun is pretty nice for its tier though.

Main changes implemented with the update v.7.0:
- Implemented several game clusters (multicluster technology).
- Added the camouflage feature. Camo purchase and its mounting are available in the game section ‘Appearance’.
- Added levels of tank companies varied by tier: up to tier 4, up to tier 6, up to tier 8 and up to tier 10 (including tier 10). Implemented tier limits for SPGs, LTs, and TDs in up to tier 4, up to tier 6 and up to tier 8 battles.

We will soon be updating the World of Tanks in-game store. As of January 16, 2012, the Type 59 premium tank will be removed from the in-game store after the server restart, which will take place at 6:00-6:30AM EST (11:00-11:30 UTC). While the tank will not be available for purchase, all existing Type 59 owners will keep their tank intact.
This decision has been made to ensure a healthy gameplay balance at higher tiers, and also to encourage a wider variety of tier 8 medium tank usage. If the Type 59 becomes available for purchase again during special events in the future, we will be sure to provide ample notice.

The French heavy tanks are a pain, at least up until Tier V. The B1 was pure suffering with the same gun the medium D1 had one tier down. I'm on the Bor BG1 (osomethin), and I still hate it, because now I'm in higher tier matches and a tank that doesn't cut it. Maybe it'll be better with a few more improvements, don't have it maxed yet....

Was just trying to grind thru the American TD line to get to the T95 before I realized that the T95 is literally the slowest thing in the game.
The slugger was decent for its tier. Solid front armor (even better than the next tier up) but especially weak flanks.
If you are already up to stug in the german TDs I would advise to just keep on pushing the American meds and leave the TDs to the Germans.
