Here's the sad part, I was actually dreaming about posting on VN right? This was the only stupid thread I could get to open. And my dream had some great sort of punchline about the word of the thread but I can't quite recall what it was....
Even if this place is "dead" or not, and the community is less that what it was, the VN forums are still "home" for me.

I don't think it's a troll problem, I think it's more of a shit in the gaming industry problem. Think to DAoC, Mythic did not have their own forums for example so VN was teeming withj folks who wanted to communicate about the game. There was a great community here for DAoC. Now enter WoW with their own forums and numerous other sites that have forums. And frankly since as far as I can tell VN spread more word of mouth than actually advertising...there's precious little of that going anymore.
