There is a small amount of action that goes on here, but players admit that it is now based on guilds attacking each others' keeps in NF.
A Skald will get you from one location to another quickly, but you will find all destinations equally empty. Instead, I suggest creating your favourite PvE farming class as Mordred is currently a low population glass and scale farming server.

From Ywain? I have earned fewer than 100k realm points in DAoC since the first form of clustering was initiated in 2006. For what it's worth, I earned a little over 10 million realm points before the Catacombs expansion was released. I did play on Mordred when it was first release and therefore have a point of reference for how the server once existed.
I am most certainly not from Ywain, but I have casually played there and did not like what I saw. However, I am "from" Dark Age of Camelot as it existed from 2001 through 2005.
Mystery player? I have never claimed to be someone important and there is no need in listing a character name here because no one would know who I am anyway. So yes, I am a no name mystery player and will remain one until leaving Dark Age of Camelot for the last time.

My biggest fear is that your play time on Mordred would be completely wasted as there is currently no one here to fight.
If you absolutely must play DAoC, I suggest that you instead make characters for the battlegrounds on Ywain.

Played a Skald to rr6 and Sb to rr5 on Mordred and it was sorta fun. I would caution would be players that to spend alot time here is likely wasted effort. The problem is many fold. Porting during combat will be one of the most annoying. Also trying to find people more than 10 feet from the safety of a porter is impossible. I logged on a number of times lately and didn't find any action worth mentioning. I would love nothing more than this server to take off, but the way the server ruleset operates needs to change to make it a viable server again. I have played for about 6 hours in the past few days and have found 2 fights that didn't run for the porter and /s Maincity and escape.
Bioware/mythic needs to change the way things operate before there will be any sustained population here over 10 people.
If you want to pvp, play ywain until further changes here are made.
Hell, I would be the first person to jump on the Mordred bandwagon if a new ruleset was made to make this better for pvp. Right now however it's a giant fail.
Even BG's on Ywain are 10 times better populated than the entire Mordred server as a whole.

I have my scout from Andred and Sorc from Mordred here along with a Valk. I would suggest ‘anything’ as anything adds to the population. With the /level to 40 I use Mordred as my place to level with friends and experience the old game with all the classic zones. I’m going to do a necro here just to level fast and explore all the zones I once missed. Maybe a vamp also. I’ve been on each night lately for the last 3 days, travelling main areas, and have yet to run into 1 person :/
