I would get Intel instead of AMD right now. If you must go AMD, for gaming you should find a faster clocked quad core to be better than the slower clocked six core.
Instead of getting four sticks of 2GB memory, you should go with two sticks of 4GB memory.
Avoid Raidmax power supplies. Antec and Corsair have better budget power supplies.
Not sure what's up with Seagate, used to like them, last few years I feel they've slipped. WD hard drives for me.

Here is what I'd build for the price range.

$190 Intel Core i5-2400

$122 Gigabyte Z68 D3H

$53 Corsair 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3-1600

$350 EVGA GTX 570 Superclocked

$115 Corsair 60GB Force 3

$65 WD 1TB Blue
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136767

$19 Liteon DVD RW
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827106289

$100 Corsair 400R
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811139008

$85 Corsair 650 watt

With this build, I went with Intel. The i5-2400 is a pretty good CPU, but isn't too expensive that it gimps my video card. If you are a gamer, I like to put more money towards the GPU than CPU as that is where the demand will be heavier at.

I went with a Corsair theme. SSD, memory, case, power supply. Why not, they make great stuff. I thought the heatsinks on those Vengeance memory sticks looked great. Though if you decide to get some obscenely large CPU heatsink, then you might want to get memory with smaller heatsinks.

The motherboard supports both Crossfire and SLI. And it's got heatsinks in all the places that need them.

And an EVGA 570 Superclocked, it's only $30 more than a normal 570 and it comes with a pretty good sizable factory overclock.

Looks good if you want to be able to overclock your CPU. You'll have to go with the more expensive i5-2500K for the unlocked processor, and that CM heatsink will do a better job cooling the CPU.

And if anyone wants to replace their CPU or case fans, these Gentle Typhoon fans are probably the best 120mm fans you can get. The push a lot of air and are pretty quiet for their rotation speed.

1450 RPM fans should have a sound level acceptable to anyone.

1850 RPM fans, while these are quieter than normal at this speed, might still be a bit noisy for some people. Would get these though if you have a fan controller or motherboard that can throttle the speed down a bit.

And if those are too pricey, the Slipstream fans are also pretty nice for case fans and should do just fine. For a CPU heatsink fan I'd still spend the extra few dollars on the Gentle Typhoon because they have better static pressure to push through the fins of the heatsink.
