Welcome to the Vault Network
forum archive.
This is not a complete archive, time didn't allot us the
opportunity to properly backup the majority of the boards
deemed "expendable". Most boards on this list have at least
20-40 pages archived (non-logged in pages, 15 topics per
page).
Popular boards may have as many as 250 pages archived at 50
topics per page, while others deemed of historical
signifigance may be archived in their entirety.
We may not agree with how the board shutdown was managed, but
we've done what we could to preserve some of its history in
lieu of that.

new to mordred after 7 years...

hey, 'cause i can't remember, but after I get the free armor after doing /level 40, should I just go level in crappy armor? and for a staff I should justuse the lvl 1 given to me?

You can also get free weapons too. Depending on your class I may have some extra stuff hanging around but I wont be on till 10pm EST today. If you're on tomorrow I'll be on most of the day. My toons names are Snooglee and Snoogz

If you port to out of the tutorial before using /level 40, you will receive the breast plate armour and weapon items from your trainer up to level 25. At 40, the level 25 trainer staff should be fine to you and it has some useful stat while the free /level 40 staff has no stats. I believe the level 25 trainer staff has 50 focus while the free level 40 staff only has focus for level 40 spells.
Your free level 40 armour will suck very bad, but you can farm aurulite to help with this. 2-3 runs through an aurulite dungeon is enough to cap your dex, acuity, and power pool if you are selective when buying items. Eh, the aurulite gear isn't the best, but it's a lot better than the free level 40 gear.
